Stillwell's One Stop Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Raymond

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Stillwells Ice Cream Shop in Raymond, NH, and I feel compelled to share it. While waiting in line, I witnessed an employee behind the counter make a completely uncalled-for comment about two young girls who were wearing bathing suit tops—one with shorts and one with a skirt. The employee loudly remarked that their outfits were inappropriate because "there were kids around," implying it was somehow offensive.As a parent with my own kids there, I was not bothered in the slightest by what these girls were wearing. It was obvious they had just come from the lake, like most of the customers in the shop including myself. Their outfits were perfectly normal for a hot summer day. What did bother me was the employee's behavior—shaming these girls for their appearance, and doing so after they had already paid for their ice cream and mind you the girl tipped the employee. That kind of timing shows a complete lack of class and professionalism. It felt like the employee waited until the transaction was done to humiliate them, which is just wrong.The girls looked visibly uncomfortable and embarrassed, and it broke my heart that they were made to feel bad for simply existing in summer attire. I wanted to speak up on their behalf but didn’t get the chance in the moment. This kind of judgmental behavior has no place in a family-friendly business, and it left a sour taste if you have a problem put up a sign. Stillwells needs to train their staff to treat customers with respect, regardless of what they’re wearing. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Same as Hampton but without indoor seating. Good service and selection of flavors. The portion to price ratio is good 👍! The cherry vanilla had big pieces of cherry in it! My husband and I were out for our anniversary dinner on Saturday night (9/22/18) and instead of getting dessert at the restaurant in Deerfield, we booked it to Raymond for ice cream at Stillwells. We pulled into the parking lot at 8:45pm (Google stated they were open until 9:00pm) and when I got to the door, noticed a sign on the door stating that as of 9/24/18 hours were changing and they would only be open until 8:30pm. I opened the door and asked the girls inside if they were open, as the sign said 8:30 starting on the 24th, and that it is the 22nd. She said "yeah, so I said, "ok, so we can get some ice cream then?" and she rudely said, "no, we already are closing up." I said, "but it's the 22nd, not the 24th, you should be open 15 more minutes" she then told me that they were closed.
