It was my first time at Chilis and it will be my last. First the host didn’t give my siblings a kids menu. So we had to ask and our waitress was surprised they didn’t get that. We also weren’t given enough place settings. Then our waitress asked for our drinks. She never told us her name so we couldn’t address her. We order our drinks. And she asked us if we wanted chips and salsa, we said “sure.” After 5 minutes she brings the chips and salsa and then our drinks, but gives my sister the wrong one. They fixed it. Then after 15 minutes we are waiting to order our appetizers, we heard a lot of great things about the mozzarella sticks, so we order that. At the same time she also takes our main meal orders. After another 20 minutes all the food comes, the appetizers and the mains came at the same time. Usually you get the appetizers first, but ig it’s ok. When we got our food the waitress came back and asked how the food was before we could even take a bite of it. The food wasn’t even good. Also halfway through I found out the chips and salsa weren’t free. How was I supposed to know they weren’t complimentary, no one told us that. It’s $7.29 for chips and salsa like what the inflation?! The food wasn’t as good as the cost. But the mozzarella sticks were really good, they lived up to the hype. We also ordered dessert, because we already knew we weren’t going to be back, might as well make the most of it, right? We ordered the chocolate cake thing and the cookie skillet. Another lady brought out our dessert and no one had taken our plates so they tried to give us dessert with a full crowded table. Other than that the dessert was soo good. The cookie was warm and gooey and the cake was so moist and chocolatey. At the end we wait till our waitress comes back so we could ask for the check, and she eventually comes over and we ask for the check. And she says “oh you’re supposed to pay on the kiosk.” Like how were we supposed to know that?! We ask “how do we use this?” And she goes idk. It was $100! So we apply a free chips and salsa code and we ask how to do that she also says “idk” to that and goes and asks someone. We eventually get it to work. In the end we payed $96 which is still way too much for the food...
Read moreThis was my first time ever eating at a Chili's, not just this location and I'm not sure how soon it will be before I give it a try again and certainly not at this one. We were seated quickly despite the fact that the restaurant was quite full. The food that we did receive was delicious-hot and well seasoned, but the service was seriously lacking. When we first arrived we ordered chips and salsa, which we never received, yet were still charged for on the bill. Then when we got our plates my son ordered the triple dipper, but one of the items was wrong. No biggie right? So we got the waiters attention, but instead of just acknowledging the mistake and swapping out the items, he argued with us how he didn't put the order in wrong and proceeded to pull out a menu and pointed to one of two pictures saying my son (who is 13 by the way and does know how to order food) pointed to the other one-he didn't. The waiter should have asked for clarification, but either way it would have been a real simple fix over two chicken tenders. He was hard to find throughout the entire meal when we simply wanted our waters refilled. We had to ask a waitress passing by for help and she did quickly remove the chips and salsa that were never delivered from our bill, but we never should have been charged in the first place. The whole experience was a shame, because I really did enjoy the food and would definitely eat it again, but this unfortunately is the closest location and I'm not spending any more money on that...
Read moreHello, We brought my 3 year old daughter here for her birthday today (I’m writing this while still here sitting in a booth with my family here). The waitress was good. However, we experienced a bias birthday celebration. After we were seated, a family near the window received a Happy Birthday celebration by the staff with the customers including myself joined in with clapping for about 30 seconds. On the other hand, my daughter received a estimated 5 second celebration from the staff and the other two servers vacated our booth area before our server was able to sat the cookie ice cream pan onto our table (without one candle). Not to mention, not ONE of the customers who witnessed the shirt birthday celebration attempted to clap and/ or sing. Heck, as I looked around not one person even cracked a smile. With that being said, it is safe to feel our skin color play a negative factor in this situation, since all the customers & employees present where White, European descent, resemble white skin complexion, etc. Speaking from an educated black veteran perspective, I’m am highly disappointed in this establishment and respectfully recommend bias, racial, micro aggressive training for the staff. Do better; Be better. My daughter deserved better treatment than she received this evening at Chili’s in Redding, MA. Last but not least, I do not recommend celebrating your birthday here until the racially bias environment changes towards the better. Respectfully, Unsatisfied Paying Customer...
