Taqueria El Carreton — Restaurant in Reading

I don't even know where to begin. My experience here was absolutely horrific, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. First of all, the customer service was nonexistent. The girl at the front desk had the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered—literally the worst human being in all of Reading. She gave me a look that could kill, and I swear it was as if she was doing me a favor by letting me even step foot in the door. Completely rude, cold, and unhelpful. How someone like this gets hired is beyond me. But that was just the beginning. The cake—oh my god, the cake. It smelled so bad that it made me physically ill. I don’t know if it was old or just straight-up spoiled, but the stench was unbearable. After a few minutes in the store, I felt like I was going to be sick for days. And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, the smell lingered. Like, seriously, I didn’t know what I was about to experience at a restaurant, but this was next level. To make matters worse, we ordered tacos, and of course, they forgot them. We went back to ask about it, and the staff—yes, including the same terrible front desk girl—completely denied ever having seen our tacos. How do you lose tacos in a place that’s literally serving tacos? There’s no explanation, no apology, nothing. Just a brush-off and more attitude. But wait, the icing on the cake (pun intended) was when my girlfriend left the tacos in the store, and the staff claimed they had already “cleaned it personally” and couldn’t find them. So… where did my tacos go? They certainly didn’t go home with us, and they definitely weren’t in the car. It's a complete mystery—and frankly, it feels like they were stolen or thrown out on purpose. This was without a doubt the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, and I will NEVER be coming back. Save your money, your time, and your stomach—avoid this place...

Never have I had such a bad experience until today it was the worst. I have been coming here or years and never have I felt so disrespected. My Food was awful and my order was not done how I asked. The tacos had little to no meat. I asked for extra onions on all my tacos and two of my tacos had no onions. I called to complain because this isn't the first time this happens. I called to give my criticism and I was told that there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a super visors then she told me there isn't one and there was no other way to get in touch with her boss but through Facebook. The weather today is awful I had to leave with my kids to take the food back because we opened the ceviche and noticed again they forgot the avocado. again this is not the first time. when I gave them the food the guacamole that I had ordered was in the bag apparently they threw it out when I asked what happened to it they said it was Half empty when they filled it Half way to begin with. I didn't even get to eat my guacamole. and its funny because they made all these mistakes and did not offer once to make it right. but one day I was short 50 cents and they made me drive all the way home to get the 50 cents when I buy food here...

the food is AMAZING! every time my family has come it has been better and better! However that does not make up for their extremely poor service. the food was out quickly, but the waitress was horrible to us. She seemed annoyed at us since we walked into the restaurant. As customary in most restaurants, we tried to order drinks first but she basically yelled that she will not take drink orders until the food is served. Then the food was served… over the course of about 10 minutes. She could not remember who ordered what (we were one of the only ones there) and she did not even put in all of the food we had ordered, we had to keep reminding her of everything from an entire meal to a side. Then after we were all halfway done eating, she finally felt like taking our drink orders. our table was RIGHT next to the drink station and she still could only remember a set of two(2) drinks at a time when 4 were the same and the other two were also the same… and she had also JUST taken the order. After we finished eating she asked if were missing a side that we asked her to make because she forgot it when bringing out the food. Overall bad attitude evn when it came time to pay. If you want some of this great food i recommend...
