Go to El Puente! Food is much more authentic and flavorful! Went yesterday to Jimenez because my boyfriend loves their tacos. Had to flag the waitress down just to get service after sitting down for ten minutes. They’re was only 3 other small groups there. Ordered food and asked that instead of having meat in my quesadilla, that they put refrained beans instead. Lady came back 15mins later to tell me that they couldn’t do that. I went to go speak to them to see why not, considering meat is MUCH more expensive then beans, and seeing as I’ve done the same thing previously at this restaurant for the past few years (like 5yrs). The quesadilla was 6 dollars, with meat, so the fact that they were saving that meat and subbing it for .46cent beans, and that the beans were premade (not like they would have to whip up a batch!) it didn’t make sense why they couldn’t add a scoop. Who’s going to spend $6 on one tortilla and cheese???? Absolutely ridiculous. And the lady’s seemed to think so too, they agreed meat was more expensive, but refused to do it and said it was “their policy.” Since when??? Needless to say, ridiculous service and I won’t be going back. No where does any Mexican restaurant have a problem with me not getting meat because it’s actually doing them a favor! I’m paying the same price for a cheaper product. And at El Puente, night I add, they will do that plus take money off! A $5 quesadilla without meat will be made into a $3! Honest, common...
Read moreLove their pupusa's because they have a viraity with chicken and cheese, especially since, I can't eat pork due to health issues. Love their bistec and chicken tacos. I have been coming to this place ever since I known the female who started working out of a Food truck. Their prices have risen in the past years but it's worth. I have order issues from time to time and they have provided great service and respect. All I can do is give positive reviews because the food good and problems are resolved quickly and respectfully. I would give a 4.5 or 5 star review but because they get sooo busy at times it may take a long wait. On slow or mildly busy days its about 10-15 minutes which is great but on certain times and days, rush hour in city, or after 6pm the wait to order take out can take anywhere from 25-50+ minutes. I'm not sure now, but I use to order from door dash and at times it would be a 25-55+ wait which to me is normal. Overall, good place for non American cuisine with...
Read moreI must say this was a HUGE mistake on my part, that I will not ever make again, the food was less than subpar or mediocre, much like the service they provide to their customers/patrons.
Had I know the quality of food and service they provide to their customers I would've gone out of my way to visit some other place, rather than this one.
Their tacos and pupusas are among the worst I've had, they were TASTELESS, they're don't even come close to imitation of either one I know, I get around and we have them both within reach, I thought they will be good, my mistake, I urge you, go anywhere else if you can, although they are busy at times, I will not ever step in or order from this place, the treatment I was given was like when we see a nasty insect, I wasn't even thanked for my business or greeted at all, made me feel my business and person weren't welcomed there.
Do take my word for it, I will not give them my...
