Maple Gardens — Restaurant in Red Bluff

STAY AWAY. I was there a few days ago with my aunt and ordered two combos. The lady seemed kind of annoyed with us even though we had asked for some time to look at the menu since it was my first time there. So I was already getting weird vibes. We ordered, got our meals and I asked if she had any Sriracha. She replied “No” I asked if she had any hot sauce. She gave me a little container of the oil hot sauce with peppers in it. I was okay with that but I asked for one more. One for myself and one for my aunt. We each got a meal to which the lady simply replied with “No” I explained we got two combos and felt we should be able to get two hot sauces, she again just replied with “No”. There wasn’t any other offer on her behalf to sell me one or any type of explanation. I told her that was almost 25 dollars worth of food and couldn’t understand why she was being so stingy with some hot sauce. She kept telling me just no. My aunt convinced me to let it go and leave, but the more I thought about it, the more it upset me. The lack of customer service and the fact that we paid so much for some disgusting overcooked spaghetti to be denied a tiny container of hot sauce was upsetting. I went back inside and told her I needed one more hot sauce and I wasn’t leaving until I got one she didn’t even offer to sell me another one until I told her. She then yelled “25 cent” at me. I tossed her the quarter and took the hot sauce. NEVER GOING BACK. GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE. I genuinely felt she was discriminating and probably thought I wasn’t going to say anything about it. So I want to preface this with I went to eat here based off a friend's recommendation of it being his favorite place to go to in Red Bluff.

Constipated? You won't be. Regular on the daily? You're going to have diarrhea.

One time I ate today was " food " from here. Yeah sure it was cheap and the portion size would of been decent if the food tasted decent. It wasn't, it. was dry and honestly kinda tasteless bland compared to how Chinese usually is. On that alone I'd say it's the worst I've been to here in NorCal.

But it's gets better (worse) folks !

The rest of this afternoon, evening, and now night I've had constant bouts of diarrhea since I ate their " food " so much so in fact that in desperation I've just Door Dashed an order solely for PEPTOBISMOL or any other anti diarrhea medicine the dasher can find at the store.

If I could give this place a ZERO star rating I would.

As for the friend? I now believe he doesn't go here for the " food " but for it's effectiveness at relieving what I'm suspecting is chronic constipation issues he has but as per usual for him refuses to go to...

I called ahead to place an order and he asked how long it takes for me to get there I said 10 minutes and he said it should be ready in about 15 minutes so I got there in 10 minutes decided to go in rather than sit in the car and wait another 5 minutes and it's a good thing I did because the place was packed with people waiting for their food. When I got to the counter after waiting in line I paid for my food and it seemed like they didn't start making it until I paid for it so why did I bother calling it in? I must have sat there waiting at least 20 minutes. Everyone looked mad and that place was hopping and super busy. The food was good and reasonably priced. I guess that's why they are so popular. They had folding chairs lined up for people to sit and wait on. I don't recall seeing tables you can eat at just chairs everywhere. So I think it's mainly a takeout place and not a quick one so be prepared. Then again it was a Friday night. The food was really good though. Except the Mongolian beef was way too spicy, no one...
