I took an out of town guest here on Tuesday (7/6/21) because I've typically had good service here, and the food is great. When we arrived we were greeted with hostility from the bartender. It seemed like she was annoyed that she had to serve us. We wondered what we'd done wrong. She indicated they were short staffed, and promptly forgot what I'd ordered 30 seconds earlier. We were sitting up at the bar. My friend noticed a young lady who was clearly out of her mind on alcohol or something else, or both, sitting a few chairs down from us. The woman got up and headed for the restroom, bouncing off the walls as she want. We expressed concern to the bartender who ignored us. It seemed like she and other staff knew this person. The bar had been open for only 30 minutes. When the woman returned to the bar, she sat down right next to us, essentially laying on my friend, and asking us to buy her a shot. Again, we expressed concern to the bartender, who then told us the woman was her roommate, and that she'd had a tough weekend, and that we should drop it. We then moved down a few chairs to avoid further contact with the inebriated woman, who clearly needed some help, and had no business being in a bar, or anywhere in public. Then a young man sat down next to the woman, and I casually remarked that maybe that was her boyfriend. The bartender spat out at us that it was 'her boyfriend' and that they were trying to help her, and that we should stop asking questions, at which point our food arrived. We told the bartender that we didn't need to be spoken to that way, paid our bill and left without eating. I may return at some point (if that bartender isn't working), but it might be a while. I"m sure FOLO's doesn't really care about my patronage, or insuring a safe and pleasant experience for their guests, based on this encounter. And I'm surprised that any establishment would allow this type of experience for anyone - us, the unfortunate girl, and the other patrons and their...
Read moreAS A CUSTOMER AT FOSTER &LOGAN'S Pub and Grill I was paid attention to. The staff was great !!! The vibe was happening, I felt that boost of energy that I feel when I walk the Vegas strip after a 20 hr. day. The place has energy. I truly felt like I was in a brew pub in Aspen. Quite certain that my waiter had a Masters degree in his pocket... But hey it's a ski town... Guess what World ski bums are smart these days , it's an educational choice. Oh and while we are on the slippery slope, I have been to Park City, Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, and Telluride. You can all pound snow... Red Lodge is THE HILL !!! So back to the review I'm supposed to be doing. I'm in the joint with some very eager to camp, half frozen, obnoxious grandkids and the staff is very very accommodating. We had a wonderful dinning experience, probably at the expenses of some poor people trying to enjoy their day. Ok so I'm riding my motorcycle through there on the way to the pass.... But that's another review, and myself and passenger stop in. Service was great, not sure but one might get a discount if you show them your Mensa card. I'm telling you it's a class act. It's a wonderfuly consistent place. Good vibes, feels upper crust, but come in with your bibs on straight from a hard days work in the field, and it's all good. The food... Wonderful, pricing... on point. This is a must stop. Talking to the Hollywood types that I have ... It's places like this that they love about Montana. Stop in , check them out, and you will quickly see what I'm talking about... You'll be...
Read moreI would rate 0 if I could. We were a party of 6, and not a single entree was even partly edible. The sandwiches were dripping in grease, the topping on the gyro were rusty and spoiled, the chips were soggy. The waitress was the biggest issue- we are easy to please, local Montanans that absolutely understand the pressure the service industry is under in our state. However, when a waitress asks “would you like fries or chips” and “would you like ranch for your wings” and “would you like sauce for your gyro”, and never mention an up charge, I assume that those things are complimentary add-ons. Not the case- we paid almost $20 for unknown add-ons. When I asked about it, the waitress said “well things are expensive now, you have to pay it”. A member of our group ordered the soup and it was absolutely inedible, and we sent it back and offered to pay for it- and she snapped “well fish isn’t for anyone, they call them bugs for a reason”. Never have I been spoken to in such a manner by wait staff. Beyond the terrible food it was extremely expensive with the ridiculous add-ons we were not informed of (70 for two people, one round of drinks), the waitress was so rude, and the service was so slow. We won’t be back and I suggest any other Red Lodge option before you resort to Foster...
