Well, a few weeks ago we got to visit this lovely restaurant...The ambiance is beautiful, it's a little but very inviting and warm- it's perfect for a romantic date night. The upstairs wine cellar is beautiful as well. We were served by a very nice waiter, and all of the staff were very pleasant. Everyone seemed very welcome here, from men just knocking off work from their construction jobs, to well dressed business people. We were so excited to give this place a try- my husband had seen the tomahawk steak on the menu online before our trip and was super excited. Unfortunately, that was where things fell flat. The steak came out and it looked as if it was cooked on a grill that wasn't quite hot enough yet, or as if the piece of steak had been pulled from the refrigerator and stuck on the grill without coming to room temperature (in our industry, you can do this with care- think dry aged steaks). Well, when we started eating, it was very much under seasoned and very tough - a good steak needs only salt and pepper - you can guild the lily with special sauces and such, but that should be only if you want to. The broccolini that came with it also had no seasoning, and had the flavor of the smell of burnt hair (I'm was kinda sad because I love broccoli and had the bearnaise sauce that I was looking forward to using with it). My side that I had picked were the fries. They also had no seasoning, and reminded me very much of McDonalds French fries...I hate giving reviews like this, especially for the cost- we were so looking forward to this dinner. I hope on our next trip through, that we have a better food experience (maybe it was just an off night for the restaurant?), and that everyone else...

The service was lacking, and the food average for a supposed 'upscale' restaurant.
The person who cleared dishes from the table, dark hair asked if we were finished with the appetizer, when the plate was scraped clean, yes the brussel sprouts were good. When I said we were obviously finished with it, she said, "maybe you wanted to lick it (the plate) in a what seemed a flippant manner with a smirk on her face.
Then after the table of 5 was finished and their plates taken she again asked me after the empty plate sat in front or me for at least 10 minutes after I was finished last, again with a clean plate save a piece of fat, after the large ribeye steak, and all the others at our table had their empty plates taken, earlier, the same person said " are you finished with that?"
Add to that the waitress was a bit condescending in tone, as if speaking to a child, to my elderly mother who is of sound mind and judgement.
All this on top of the fact that half of the "bros" eating inside the 'upscale' dining room were wearing baseball hats, at least none at a cursory look, not turned...
Read moreWe debated leaving a review and weighed both sides, but once the hostess spoke to us as if we were children we felt a need to share. We have eaten at CC three times now and have made reservations each time. Each time we had to wait over 45 mins to be seated for a reservation we have made. If you are looking to eat around time of your reservation avoid carbon county. The hostess came out once she noticed my husband left to check availability else where and offered me to order a drink for him and I and she would take care of them. I responded with I will need to wait he is checking seating time down the street. She then decided to get upset and tell me they only have availability for tables of 5 in the booths and I should understand they cannot accommodate for 5 in any other seat. I said I do understand mama and she says well I asked them to leave and obviously can’t make them! There was absolutely no need for being rude or on the defense. I do understand I don’t understand being talked to as if I were a child. Carbon county is not worth the hype and wait time is very long. If you have more than 4 they can only seat...
