The Candy Crate and Candy Mountain Fudge — Restaurant in Red River

My kids love visiting this amazing little candy store. It's become a traditional summer destination for us. This place has a ton of candy but perhaps my favorite part, are the candies from when I was a kid! They have candies from many generations past. The nostalgia is great. I love sharing these candies with my kids, to see how they rank them with today's favorites. I think the best find I've found here, are Astro Pop's. I was thrilled to get some of these! We come to RR at least twice a year. Have always enjoyed the fudge here. Service has never been customer friendly, but this visit was kind of strange . My grandson had to bring me in the store "to show me something". He said they had "Impeachmints". They are mints with President Trump's picture on them. I said something to an employee about it and she said they got them by "accident". In my opinion people need to keep politics out of business. Do they not know they get probably 90% of their business from Texas and Oklahoma? Please continue to alienate us and you will be out...

I've only been once and that's my regret. Would love to be able to go pick out a treat every day. They have everything you can imagine... including a special section of different candies dating back to the 40's. So if there's a childhood favorite you've been missing, you should definitely stop by! They also have some of the best fudge you'll ever eat...made in-house! When we went, it was buy a pound, get a quarter pound for free. Not sure if this is an every day deal but worth asking about. And the prices, in general, are...
