Well, it was some time ago that I visited Red River, NM. I was on a 6 month visit to stay with friends in Lubbock, TX and we spent a week in a cabin near the resort. The little town is clearly a beloved skiing area, but we were there in the summer. It was a magical place. The people were beyond friendly and the little shops and stalls, restaurants and bars were really very lovely. I remember buying a silver ring made locally and I wear it every day even now, 23 years later.

There is one lady that works there, or could be the owner, that is always short and not so friendly. She has been there everytime we've visited.
