My family and I came here for a day trip while road-tripping back home to Texas. I’d like to start off by clarifying that we did not walk this entire trail and we stayed relatively close to the town square. We did walk on both the trail and the sidewalk on the other side of the trail across the river. It was so beautiful. We saw several people fishing, and watched this little girl catch a fish. We witnessed a deer cross the river to come up on the town square side and start eating grass. It was so different from what we see from deer at home, because she seemed virtually unafraid of the surrounding human beings. The trail itself had a very clear and easy pathway to follow and you can still see the river from the trail. The people passing through were all very friendly. The temperature was great, and it was definitely a great change from dealing with Texas heat. I only wish we could go do stuff like this at home, I’d never go back inside my house again. I got a lot of beautiful photos. I enjoyed observing the ski lifts, as I’d never seen what one looks like up close in person before, which can be observed at one of the ends of the trail. I also enjoyed being surrounded by so many trees and hills in the mountains. I’ve never been in the mountains before, and so this was a great first experience. I am definitely interested in going again in the future and exploring more...

We still had a great time, but better signs would be helpful and...
