I really wish that I could give this place a 5 star because I feel like the broth is pretty good. But the service is horrible, absolutely HORRIBLE. When I say by horrible, I mean I sat myself, I wiped down my own table with my own antiseptic wipes, and got my own high chair for by 24 month old. I let my son play with the Chopsticks and spoon that were available at the table, and the waitress (I am assuming the owner) came by and told me that he is not allowed to do that and that he needs to stop immediately. As a stay-at-home mom who enjoys taking my son out to have lunch on occasions, it made me feel very uncomfortable that she would say that; additionally, in front of others dining in. Also, I didn't get the condiments until after I got my bowl of pho, and there was no Sriracha which I feel like is something very common at a phó restaurant. So I proceeded to go up to ask for the sriracha. At first, she just swung her hand to shoo me "over there" and for me to go and find it myself . But I didn't know where to go. She then frustratingly went and grabbed a Sriracha from another table at, which they were still dining.

Again, as an avid phó eater and enthusiast, I will be honest and say the broth was good. If you're planning to enjoy the service and dining out, I wouldn't suggest this place. If you don't have the patience for rude service, this is NOT the place. If you don't care about the service and as long as you get your food, the phó...

March 18, 2022 Thursday at 2 PM. First time coming to this restaurant. Vietnamese woman employee about age 58 was rude in front of me while three other customers was dining in. I think she is the store owner. I ordered four beef noodle, when she got the food ready I paid and checked my to go order to see if there are four beef noodle in the box. She came and asked me if everything is okay. I opened one box and asked her, “Is there Sriracha sauce?” because I couldn’t tell if she put it in the cup or not. She said rudely and angrily, “It’s all mixed in the cup. Why you worried? Everything is fine. I do everything good.” She sounded rude. I paid with my own money and I expect everything to be in it because I don’t want to have to come back because of something missing. The beef noodle is too expensive too. I ordered four #6 medium to go and the total was $52.. I was expecting about $40. Seems it is about $11 each but in the common city it is about $8. So, it is too expensive. I’m a big fan of beef noodle pho, it is my favorite, and I eat it a lot... but this one didn’t taste that good and the soup wasn’t boiled hot enough. Should be respectful to customers. Takes too long to complete order also. Seems she’s the only person working there. Worst Saigon restaurant I ever went to. Would not come again.

Edited: As reviewer Pamela S. stated.. I see I’m not the only one saying employee...

After dining here both my husband and I experienced being bloated and craving for water. We recognize some places like to MSG up their broth and I’m afraid that’s what we experienced. The broth was really sweet, sweeter than most Vietnamese pho broth we have had. The sizes were limited to just “Large and XL” even when we asked for small. Also to note, when we walked in the restaurant was humid, hot and completely empty. We were the only ones dining in. We saw there were only two pieces of napkin but later on the lady came to refill it for us. Once refilled was like 2 napkins but then she saw we needed more so she came back another time to give us more napkins. This was nice but it did bother us that there were no napkins readily available at a dining table. Then I read in these reviews about 3 years ago someone else made similar observations. It was an experience and I won’t say it was negative or positive. Just that I wished the food we eaten didn’t make us feel so horribly bloated. Also it was hot during this evening and we noticed fans in the restaurants not being used. It would have been nice to have that fan on given how hot the space was and then eating a bowl of pho. Also I got the chicken and shrimp pho and there was 2 pieces of shrimp. Evening was just ruined by how the food made us feel and we are worried now the broth is...

We were passing through Redding and were looking forward to having pho and spring rolls when we came across Pho Saigon. Everything was going great until my lady took a bite out of this spring roll and found a hair. We notified our waitress and showed her what we had found and she began to argue with us that it wasn’t a hair. She dug around inside the roll pointing out everything except the hair and then tried to give it back to us(and no she didn’t have gloves on). We told her to throw it away and waited for her to try n make it right which she never did. I would never have written this bad review if she would have owned up to it because mistakes do happen, but because she acted like it never happened and it was our fault here we go!

Hands down the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in the Redding area. This is one of those places you know will be good just by looking at the sign. I ordered the Thit Nuong grilled pork banh mi sandwich, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The sandwich itself was filling and the iced coffee was delicious on a particularly hot day. The staff were very polite and accommodating. It wasn’t very busy when I came in around 2pm, maybe around 5 other people here. Took about 10-15 to get my food. Total for the meal was about $19.50. I would recommend trying this place out if you haven’t had Vietnamese food before.
