Burrito Bandito — Restaurant in Redding

I eat at burrito bandito locations fairly often. I love their food. I buy my hot sauce there. Daves hurtin habenero. I came into the hartnell location to get dinner with my wife. The first thing i see is the cook sticking food in his mouth with bare hands over the prep table. Okay, fine, cuz he is going to wash his hands.... nope, he grabbed a bag of rice and a measuring cup and scooped that into a pan, then reached over and grabbed a spoon and stirred the rice. The whole time, he was chewing and he did not wash his hands. I had my wife leave and i immediately brought it to one of the workers attention and then i left. I have a culinary arts degree. I used to come to this burrito bandito location pretty often but after my last visit, not anymore. I’m not one to write reviews but I had to say something. I got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced to the point I couldn’t physically go to work the next day. I felt sick to my stomach along with a bunch of other food poisoning symptoms. The food didn’t look all that fresh (seems like they just reheat the food) and the line where they prepare your food was filthy. The guy making my burrito kept having side conversations with the other coworkers and accidentally spilled beans on the floor. The workers are young and seem like they couldn’t care less about the quality of the food or any matter that concerns food service. The company ordered a large take out order today and when we relised the phone was not working I went in to check on our order I was greeted by dylan who despite the fact that the fax and phone where down handled things very professionally if he is not the manager he should be . Him and his team jumped right on making our order and finished it in a timely manner making sure it was correct and even managed to look past the fact that we had a account and wrote it all down for the boss so I could get the food back to my coworkers very happy with this place great food and wonderful customer service thankyou dylan and team :).
