Glad Redding has a Lego store. And yes of course itâs a cool store! Disappointed in the way I was treated by Dwane the owner. Came in a week after they opened. Was his first customer to ask about birthday parties. Reserved a date on the phone with Dwane for my sonâs birthday party. Lots of people and food. Asked Dwane several times if everything was settled and if I could send invites out. Asked if I could pay a deposit over the phone. Was told no and that I would pay the day of. Came in to the store in person a week after speaking to him on the phone. Changed the time from 3 to 5pm. Owner seemed very distracted even though it was my turn at the counter. Specifically asked if he was going to write the time change down somewhere since he had not. Specifically asked him again to leave a deposit. He said no again. Again clarified the date and new time with him and asked if it was ok to send invites out. He said yes. 2 days before the party I called and spoke to a different staff member to clarify if we needed to bring extra tables since we had so many coming. The date and time of the party were mentioned and nothing was said about any cancellations. I was told they had plenty of tables.
An hour before our party, a staff member calls saying they double booked parties and to come to the store in person to find a solution. The solution ended up being that our reservation was not honored and that we had to move our whole party down to cookies and yogurt and entertain 10-15 young children there for two hours. We did not plan for our party to run late on Friday⊠which it did. Dwane agreed to do a shortened version of the birthday party 2 hours late for half off. I asked why he didnât reschedule or relocate the other party since I was the first person to reserve with him. He kept saying âwell the other lady paid firstâ- which was really annoying because I offered to pay several times. He took little accountability (SHADY!) himself and did not show good communication.
The kids did end up having a blast at
Conclusion:
always get paper documentation for reservations made for events.
The owner of Cookies and Angels is an angel⊠and deserves every cent Dwane made off that bday party! It was raining so without them- no party at all!
Donât do any further business with Dwane unless itâs...
Read moreThere for the first time it open so it was crowded and had to wait a little bit in line but worth it. If you love legos this is the place to go. They got build your own minifigs for $5 each or $13 for three. They got specific characters in balls, $6 each or for three, $15. They got earrings made out of legos those mystery minifigs, minifigs and some sets in display cases for sale of specific characters. They got sets you can buy in boxes some that are new or have been used or reselling. There was a bit more too and employees were nice even though it's been crowded and busy. They also had a room (I didn't get to see but heard) for the lego master builders to build but we're taking a break. Fun and cool place...
Read moreReddings Bricks and Minifigs was so great for my kids 7th birthday. They handle everything and they even work with the kids to build and have fun throughout the event. The kids had such a great time building and racing the cars. I love how they have made it so fun to name your car and even a timestamp to see the winners. Highly recommend them for a kids party. Thank you so much for making a memorable birthday and I didnât have to do a thing. They served the kids and cleaned up everything. Best part was everyone building their minifigs. So cute to see everyoneâs personality in their creations.. Win win for everyone!! Affordable and I love that they let you bring in your own...
