I’ve been wanting to try this place since seeing the “grand opening” banner a few months ago. This place truly did not disappoint!! Every single dish was so full of flavor and I love the elegant touch of the orchids for presentation. 💗 There were so many yummy options to choose from! We opted for the Bento Boxes đŸ± we were so happy with our choices and completely devoured it! We like the variety of choices and every single item was super tasty. It was more expensive than the other sushi place we frequent in Redlands but we can say that this was definitely worth the price for the flavors, taste, and generous portion size. Would absolutely get this again and recommend the combo bento box if you’re really hungry or have a large appetite. The yellowtail carpaccio was delightful although we’ve had better versions with more flavorful sauce. The baked salmon roll was amazing and absolutely perfect. I wish I had more space for it but we ended up taking half of it home because we were so stuffed! The food here is great and we will definitely be back again and recommend it to others đŸ«¶đŸœ Service was great. Our server was friendly & efficient. Not a very long wait for our main courses. She checked up on us throughout our meal. The atmosphere was simple and cozy. The booths were pretty small and tight since we are pretty tall. But I’m sure it would be just right for most average-size adults or the average Asian frame. There were mostly booth seats and the center row had tables with chairs with sushi bar seating. Probably won’t be lots of seating for large parties at the same time.

Seems like new owners took over the existing restaurant. This was our first visit. Prompt, friendly service. We arrived early on a Monday night. First ones seated. I had the Baja Fresh roll. I really enjoyed it. Very thin Jalapeno slices with Cilantro brought a lot of freshness. My companion had Avocado roll (very large, nicely filled) and Udon Noodle dish with Shrimp. Came out very very hot and she enjoyed it. It was a lot of food. Typical Japanese restaurant where the Sushi bar operates separately from the main kitchen. Our Sushi arrived a few minutes before our Edamame and a long time until the Udon. I would suggest apps before putting in the Sushi order. Only other improvement, in my opinion, the Sushi rice on the rolls was a little too soft. I would like a little more bite to the rice.

New ownership (?) It's got a Grand Opening banner flying, but not sure how long that's been up. I guess the food was good. The Blue Fin Tuna was certainly wonderfully presented and was very delicious, but I was overwhelmed with the Spider Roll and Las Vegas roll. I thought 1 of each would be plenty for dinner, but both of them were were massive. I have a big mouth, but there was no way I could get a single piece, intact, into my mouth. Both were deep fried and FULL of rice. I was full after one roll. I took the other roll home. Most of the roll was rice, so it was good, but no discernment on individual flavor. I will go back, but going to temper my menu choices to something more reasonable.

I came here by accident when in Redlands. I don't live in the area. I walked in for lunch not expecting much. As with most first experiences in a sushi bar, I ordered a couple of basic nigiris. Hamachi, Sake and Hotate (my favorite). I was surprisingly BLOWN away. The fish was exquisite, the slices were generous and the presentation was perfection. I decided to stay and experience the entire nigiri menu and some cold sake. It was a perfect afternoon grazing on outstanding sushi. The atmosphere was like any good sushi place in a plaza. You're there for the fish.

I just went back last night meeting up with a friend. He's a roll guy. We started with the Hamachi sashimi, then moved on to a few rolls and some nigiris for me, especially the Hotate, lightly brushed with lemon with fresh wasabi on top. NO SOY, I said to my friend. Perfection. The rolls were great for what they are. I'm not a roll person. The cold sake list was just enough to satisfy any palette. There was a nigori, ginjo, junmai ginjo and a daiginjo all at great prices. Amble beer choices and Sojus. Whenever I will go back to Redlands, I will hit Kyo Sushi...
