So for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to revisit Panera Bread, well I was wrong! Still slow as f*, only 1 cashier @ 7:30 PM, only 2 pple in front of me but it took 10 mins. Doubt I'll be back unless they start giving away free bagels. First, they only had one cashier and were very busy, with seven pple in front of me it was a long wait on a Thur eve at 7ish. It would be better if they had more staff available. Second, I ordered the pick 2 with a BLTA with no tomato and and a Thai chicken salad with no edame. When I got my order I noticed they forgot the bacon on my sandwich. I notified the server and while she was getting my bacon I focused on my salad with no edame. Thirdly, my Thai chicken salad came loaded with wonton strips. I think the preparer got confused and added double wonton strips instead no edame. As I was eating this not so tasty salad I noticed it had no chicken. But by this point, I had eaten half of it and didnt notice the missing chicken because of the excessive wonton strips. As I started picking the wonton strips out is when I noticed there was no chicken. And by this point I had eaten about half of it and didnt really care for it, the dressing is not to my liking. I was upset that I spent $15 on a meal I couldnt eat. I won't be going back unless it's for bagels and cream cheese. And fourth, to top it off, I brought a brownie dessert back home to enjoy later in the eve and it was hard and not very tasty. Lastly, all of the napkin dispensers were empty and the staff were stingy when I asked for extras. It seems to me they're trying to save money: understaffed and stingy with the paper goods. Imo, they could turn the a/c up a notch or two and save a few bucks. It was so cold I was glad I had a sweater. The penny pinching is starting to show. Unfortunately, its not the Panera bread...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat food, terrible app and curbside pickup online order experience. I'm trying to share my experience wherever I can because Panera Bread has NO options for surveys, reviews, or online help. I don't want to be angry or blame any employees AT ALL, but my experience using the curbside pickup function in the app failed miserably. I put in an ahead online order of bagels, selecting only ones still in stock, and when I get there a few hours later they told me that they ran out of bagels that morning. If you ran out of bagels before I placed my order, why should the app let me order them?? And why didn't anyone contact me to tell me my order can't be fulfilled for the 3 hours my order was placed? I waited for like 15-20 minutes outside and when I called the store the employees said they didn't know what the label meant and that they ran out of bagels a long time ago before I placed the order. I got a refund, but i'm frustrated that this could even happen. I feel like there's some disconnect with how the app ordering works and the poor employees who are just trying to work. I wanted to share my experience to ask that panera bread work on this so that it can't happen to other people--it took a lot of time out of my day. With everything happening during a pandemic, pickup orders are very important for health safety; especially when their workers are out there risking their health just to help sell some bagels. If any panera workers are reading this, please be sure to review this and work on this problem; I probably won't be returning anytime soon via the app out of frustration! I can't and won't risk other's health right now, nor mine, by exposing people by going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAug 13 2:30pm. I asked three different Panera staff what was in the Tuna Salad. The short, dark-haired girl preparing the sandwich insisted sweet relish was not used. Then she walked into the dining room where I was waiting for my order, and literally SCREAMED my name three times, with two seconds in between. Other customers were startled. I know there's a staffing shortage, but - really? Really?
Forty minutes later, I opened the sandwich. It was CLEARLY made with sweet relish! Disgusting. Scraped off the tuna and made toast of the bread. For once, I was not disappointed at the miniscule amount of meat on a Redlands Panera sandwich. As usual, the bread was fantastic.
I used to work near the Rancho Cucamonga Panera at the start of the pandemic. Their soup was fresh (less salty), the sandwiches generous, the staff fantastic. The curbside delivery was prompt and the orders were correct.
At the Redlands location, the curbside is ignored. You have to call the store directly after you have arrived and wait 10 mins just to get their attention, and then your food is cold and the iced drinks melted. Sometimes even that doesn't work, so I have to come inside to check on the long overdue order. No customers! What on earth is the staff doing?
Why is there always an issue at the...
