Pursue Coffee — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I visited Pursue on a Friday afternoon, while parking is very limited at the store front, I was able to find a parking easily, and the store itself was not crowed, plenty of seats are availalible for small party.

The store owners/barsitas look to be Korean based on the conversation they had. They are friendly, patient with the customers, and willing to answer any questions you have in mind. I did have some question regarding the beans they are using, thus this came from my personal experience.

There are some photography art works hanging on the wall, the chairs and tables have this rustic feeling to it, and the overall woody color of the interior makes the space feel relax and comfortable.

Let's talk coffee. Coffee price is pretty standard, I ordered a hot latte with regular milk. There is nothing particular stands out, but certainly not a bad coffee. The foam is smooth, milk might be a bit much resulting slightly less taste from the coffee itself, however that seems to be a common thing coming from Korean coffee shop from my experience. They usually have pretty good flavored coffee.

BEST VANILLA OAT LATTE IN THE SOUTH BAY. The owners are very meticulous about what they do- they weigh out the amount of coffee grounds to ensure that there is the right ratio of beans to water for the espresso, they make the syrup from scratch using real vanilla bean, and their customer service was excellent. We brought our dog with us to the shop and unfortunately due to health department requirements we were unable to sit with him inside. The owners were so nice in the way they communicated this to us and were apologetic about us having to sit in the heat. They offered us solutions to the problem and ended up bringing a fan outside so we could be more comfortable and offered to bring us water for our dog. The avocado toast was the best I’ve ever had anywhere- it is served with a lime wedge and it just adds so much brightness to the whole thing.
