The Falls Cafe' — Restaurant in Redwood Falls

Believe the reviews. We were visiting the city and stopped by for lunch. I ordered the Rueben which most places can do a fair job with. Two bites in and I knew it was something special. The corned beef was perfectly tender, the Swiss flavorful, sauerkraut had a nice tang to it, and even the thousand islands dressing was special - I could taste a subtle hint of horseradish. Talking to the waitress, she said they make most everything inhouse and I could tell. The menu had a number of familiar dishes with some upscale touch to them that I would be happy to try if we lived closer. Asked for sugar substitute for coffee and it came 15 minutes late. Server brought it to me mid run. She literally ran and dropped it off. The food took an hour to come out. Asked for cheese on my eggs, no cheese. The looked strange, maybe powdered eggs? The pancakes tasted like plastic and came five minutes after the meal. The home fries were cold and the portion was very small. Sausage links were mid but were actually served hot. It’s the only restaurant in the area so unfortunately, people will continue to go out of lack of options. Could be a hidden gem but they choose to cut too many corners which affects the quality of the food. Will never go back....

Had a wonderful experience at Falls I worked at a Country Kitchen for 24 yrs so when I seen Falls/Country Kitchen we stopped to have a Farm Skillet and a Skillet Scramble Yummy but they didn't have it anymore as they switched Anyways our server Catherine was the Daughter of the owner so she knew what skillets we were talking about so she said no problem we will make them for you and they did they were EXCELLENT,SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT We got to meet the Cook The Owner also Anyways if they had above 5 stars they would get 10 star Will be going back again Thank You for...
