I came in yesterday during lunch. I placed an order before I got there. First time trying this place. I went over to the section of the restaurant where you pick up an order. I stood in the front and about 4 other people came behind me. The guy in the front was handing out orders after another lady yelled out names. The guy in the front asked those behind me what was the name since nobody was claiming the food right away. I was literally in the front and got talked over and wasn’t even looked at. After all other people got there orders and I was standing by myself, I said excuse me (3x) and then a lady turned to me and asked did I need help. The guy was still standing in the front and suddenly he saw me. I felt so embarrassed and shamed. He asked all the other people was it there first time and to enjoy and did not ask me a thing. Oh but he did give me an extra cornbread because the one in the black container looked “small”. I literally had tears in my eyes. There was an older gentleman cleaning and he asked was I okay and I mentioned I just wanted to go. He asked did I grab any sauce in the front and I replied no. He was very nice and said I had to try to sauce because it will make it all better, honestly he did make it better by being so kind. It’s the small things. I just wanted to say to the crew by the pick up line, that everyone should be seen and appreciated. I will not be returning due to the feeling of unwelcoming treatment but the older gentleman deserves a huge raise and upmost respect for showing compassion and kindness to each person he...
Read moreFive stars all around! I came in with both my toddlers by myself - I repeat - both toddlers, by MYSELF! Usually I only get takeout, or drive thru when I’m with them but they really like Mission from when we went as a family last time, so I decided to take them. I was anxious because they were anxious and jumping around while waiting in line - the staff was courteous, told me to take my time figuring out what we needed. The cashier stacked my cups all together so it would be easier for me to get my kids to the table. They offered to help me carry my food to the table - but as Devon said ‘oh she’s got that server experience she’s good!’ Haha. When my kids inevitably dropped their toys and forks the staff picked them up and wiped them up or got us a new fork. The staff made me feel like I wasn’t a burden just for needing that extra little bit of help. When I apologized I was met with ‘We’re working, you’re enjoying your time. Don’t apologize, you already have a full time job. Going out to eat shouldn’t be another one.’ I didn’t catch everybodies names and I really should have, because these guys are doing it above and beyond the right way. My daughter even ate the green beans! A feat my executive sous chef husband can’t...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about our recent visit to Mission BBQ! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of the delicious aroma of authentic American barbecue.
The brisket was the absolute star of the meal—perfectly smoked, tender, and packed with flavor. It practically melted in my mouth. Every bite felt like a celebration of classic BBQ done right.
What really made our visit stand out, though, was the outstanding service. We came in as a group of six, and the staff went above and beyond by providing us with a different menu tailored to our group, which made things so easy and accommodating. It’s rare to see that level of thoughtfulness these days, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
And as a fantastic surprise, with our meal, we were gifted a free bottle of their signature barbecue sauce—an incredible touch that we’ll definitely be enjoying at home. It’s those kinds of details that turn a good dining experience into a great one.
Whether you're a BBQ fanatic or just looking for a great place to eat with friends or family, Mission BBQ is a must-visit. We’ll absolutely be back again on our next vacation...
