Starbucks — Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach

Same quality and taste as any SB. The crew, however is top tier. I just left there. Saturday morning in July in a beach tourist town. They were beyond slammed. Even so, I got my order with just a 20 minute delay and updates and professionalism beyond anywhere else in food service. The delay was unavoidable by the crew. The 7 people staffing were all very good at their jobs and getting orders out remarkably quickly, considering the enormous crowd. The guys working the counter were so good at working with the few customers who decided that being nasty was a good idea (really?!?). The barista working the hot steamed drink station was amazing. Not only was she cranking out accurate orders extremely efficiently, but she also took a leadership role by carnival barking situation updates to the waiting crowd. Example: “As you can see we are massively overwhelmed. I am now working on drink orders from 25 minutes ago. If you put your order in after 9:45, it’s not yet started.” Nonstop she did this, all while calling names for orders that were ready and preparing drinks (her actual job). Look, nobody NEEDS Starbucks. If you’re there, you live a good life. If there’s a wait, chill out. It’s going to be fine. Be polite. Say thank you. It matters. My husband and I stopped in for coffee and something to eat on Feb11th 2024. The staff were busy but we didn’t mind waiting longer than usual as we understood they were short staffed. We sat down with our snacks and waited and my latte never arrived. Mobile orders came and left and customers came in to order at the counter and got their orders and left or sat down . My husband asked at the counter and the girl lost her mind and shouted “ can’t you see we’re busy here with only three of us “ and then proceeded to bang the coffee pot and milk steamer in a temper tantrum I guess . People in the cafe seemed shocked by the outburst. The customers seated to the right of me looked over in disbelief. Not a good look for Starbucks ! We are done , never...

Went for some refreshing drinks on a late Sunday morning. It was pretty busy so we waited a good 10 minutes. I used the bathroom in the meantime and found the toilets out of toilet paper and toilet seat covers. When I went to wash my hands the soap dispenser squirted directly into my eye. I tried to get it out, but they do not have paper towels and the toilet paper was gone. I then went back out to find some napkins to get the soap out of my burning eye, but the napkin dispensers were also empty. Overall their service in itself was adequate since employees are limited these days, but they need to improve their cleanliness and supply restocking.
