Beer NV — Restaurant in Reno

We used to love Beer NV for their large beer variety and overall atmosphere. I even won drink tokens one night!

Our most recent visit was during DJ Trivia, which is a blast! Just be sure to make reservations well in advance. Despite being busy, they got us drinks quickly and managed the crowds well.

Though probably partly my fault for not checking first, I was disappointed that they would not accept my drink tokens. The tokens had no expiration or "use by" date listed, so I figured why not use them since I hardly ever make it out that way. According to one bartender, they hadn't handed out drink tokens in years! Which is fair given I acquired them pre-COVID then barely left the house for two years. The bartender made it sound like she'd figure out how to accept them, but quickly forgot in the check-out rush. I certainly didn't push it as my timing was less than optimal.

Every time I've had the good fortune of enjoying a beverage here, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and most important, the selection of beers and other spirits is fantastic. If I were a resident in South Reno, I'd ask for a personalized seat.

The next time you're out and about, stop by here and grab a pint or a flight. If you get hungry, there's two great restaurants nearby (Los Compadres, South Creek Pizza) to order food. I have been on a month long road trip, drinking some of the best beers and seeing some of the best sites the US has to offer. It has been amazing. I figured at this point at the end of my trip, nothing could impress me. But the server here, Erica, proved me wrong. She has an allure about her that I found intriguing.
