Michaels Deli — Restaurant in Reno

Not impressed, this place was overly hyped up. As you enter it looks like an old Subway. It has old posters as wall decorations. The Deli store fridge, that has a see through glass had opened containers with Old Product. I ordered a TAB Sandwich and a Clam Chowder Soup. The sandwich has no authentic taste like Subway, Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's. I basically got some Dutch Crunch Bread, Mayonnaise, Turkey, Avocado with some Cheese and Vegetables. I Could make the same sub with Safeway ingredients. Low quality meats and low quality cheese. The Clam Chowder did not taste like Clam Chowder, it was OK, but not to my liking. I had high hopes from the reviews, please do not waste your time in this place, just go somewhere that may cost a bit more and get a better quality product. I will not be returning. Such a disappointment. Came in to grab a sandwich. Asked the guy to hold the mustard. Why is mustard even offered on this sandwich? He sounds offended at my request. No mustard?? Proceeds to slather my sandwich in balsamic to the point it is inedible. Gives me two tomato slices. Cuts my sandwich after he cuts another sandwich, doesn’t wipe the knife. Omgosh! I am so pleased I decided to come here... from the moment I walked in til the moment I left, I felt welcomed. Important that I was there and I was made the most incredible sandwich I've had in a very long time...plus I noticed the had HOMEMADE !! Potato salad which is the frigin bomb!!! Service was so off the charts compared to other Sub shops...and the prices were super reasonable compared to others that don't even compare... Well done 👏 thank you for an incredible taste experience and superior service!!!!...
