Update: Went back in April 2024, just as many places in the Reno area, everything was more expensive, the ingredients changed, and the portions shrank. The burger was red and not good meat, My stomach was upset almost instantly after eating. My husband's Philly was the size of a child's sandwich, even after paying for double meat. When he asked if the meat was added, the cook was super rude to him. Sad to say that after 10 years of going here, we will not be returning. Was awesome until they conformed to the changes that most of Reno is making to stay afloat in this change of economy. ________ I have claimed this as my favorite burger spot in the Reno/Sparks area for 10+ years. We went in again today and it still gets the #1 spot in my book. The burgers taste real, homemade, and just down right delicious! They do not skimp on ingredients either. Their French fries are great as well! We doubled it up and had a pound burger this time and we were 100% satisfied. I mean, just look at it! 🤤

It was a nice night, the atmosphere was energeticly mellow, and the staff were engaging and helpful. As the name suggests the establishment does serve alcohol, limited however to mostly beer and ciders. Of the alcohol they carry most named brands, and a variety not to be square. They have pool tables, booths, stools, and two park tables for seating. I came for the food though. The expectation as you order, is run of the mill bar food. I got the bacon cheese buger, she got the cheese steak. Both had garlic cheese fries. It was fantastic. The burger itself was hearty and juicy and the bacon added bacon flavor, as bacon does. The fries fresh, were seasoned and cooked to pop in the mouth. All cheese was melted, perfectly for its dish. The cheese steak was full too, a great balance between cheese and steak. Both breads, burger bun and sandwich, were sweet and powdery, I believe some sort of artisan. Worth the cost for sure.

I can’t believe that in all the years I’ve lived in Reno I had never been here until today! I absolutely love finding great, local, family owned businesses and this one checks all the boxes for me! I suppose the only possible downside for me is that I’m a whiskey drinker and they don’t have a full bar, but there were plenty of other options! My mastermind group went here today. I got a salad, one got a sandwich, one a pizza, and we all share a basket of onion rings…and everything was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Prices seem fairly on par with what similar places are charging, though after this experience, I will choose Subway or Port of Subs next time for the efficiency and better quality. The atmosphere is everything you could want for a casual group hangout. We've had their pizza as takeout in the past, which was good, but this experience has me questioning if we were just lucky that day. This time, after the good pizza experience, we decided to try their sandwiches while dining in. My apparent mistake was ordering a hot sandwich when my counterpart ordered a cold sub. We were completely unaware that the sandwiches are not prepped in the same area until they called my name only to give me the cold sub and informed me, after seeing my confusion, that my name would be called again when my hot sandwich was ready. My hot sandwich took an additional 15 minutes. I expect my hot sandwich to take longer than a cold sub, but why don't they align cold food and hot food prep time for items on the same order like every other restaurant does? Or, why don't they inform people of the process after/while placing the order? Given the length of time between the two meals and the fact that I didn't want to be the only one eating as my counterpart had already consumed half their sub, I asked for a to-go box and went directly home. Immediately after getting home (~7 minute drive), my counterpart started to feel sick. Upon inspecting the other half of their sandwich, they saw that some of the shredded lettuce was slimy. They tossed the rest of the cold sub in the trash, and they were sick for the remainder of the evening. My smokey melt was fine but very small for the price, overly salty, and nothing I would recommend or order again if I were to go back. People making the hot food were very nice and friendly when I picked...

Nestled in the heart of Reno, this hidden gem of a restaurant captures the essence of a college hole-in-the-wall hangout. The menu boasts an impressive array of mouthwatering subs, delectable pizzas, and classic pub fare that's sure to satisfy any craving. But what truly sets this place apart is its status as a local hideout, known only to those in the know.

The charm of this establishment isn't just in its unassuming exterior or cozy interior – it's also in the camaraderie that thrives within its walls. Whether you're a student looking for a study break or a local seeking solace from the bustling city, this spot has you covered.

While the focus here is on the quality of the food and the warm, inviting atmosphere, it's worth mentioning that this place isn't about extravagant presentations. Instead, it's about honest, delicious food that hits the spot every time. So, if you're in search of a laid-back, no-frills spot with great beer, hearty subs, and mouthwatering pizza, look no further than this charming local...
