5 Hermanos Restaurant — Restaurant in Renton

Me and my mom went here on may 12th for a late lunch around 4 pm. I ordered the green beef enchiladas (I substituted the ground beef for regular beef for an extra $1 which actually ended up looking more like carnitas aka pork), and my mom got the chicken mole (which the server told us was chicken breast) Both of us got food poisoning afterwards. I got sick, started sweating and vomiting, and had such horrible stomach pain (like to the point I couldn't sit stand or lay from the crazy pain) into the night that at 2 a.m., I ended up at the ER. My mom's on dyalsis and this was supposed to be a nice after treatment get together, especially because those procedures are so tiring, only for her to also end up at the hospital that same day, I spent $58.87 plus a $10 dollar tip only for us to both get sick.

The server was a nice guy, and everyone was very accomadating, but the food was not cooked correctly or had to have been sitting out all day/old. On top of the fact the food wasn't great, the tortillas were cold the meat was cold and lacking flavor, we were both so hungry we just ate and were ready to leave. They need to speak with whoever cooked and then approved the food to be sent out because this really could have caused worse problems, especially for my mom who's already immunocompromised, I think her only saving grace is that she didn't eat all her food and went immedietly to the hospital as soon as she felt bad (unlike me who waited until I literally couldn't physically take it anymore) or else she would've been in the hospital much longer.

Food has always been received perfectly the way I ordered it until May 30th 2022. When you use door dash and you order something once and then go back to order the same item again it state “order again”

I have ordered door dash for the last 3 months almost everyday. Everybody knows when you go into DoorDash and you order the same food from a certain restaurant repeatedly there is a button that says ORDER AGAIN. Yesterday the dish came as it’s usually made so I called the restaurant to let them know. The manager argued with me that the dish I get doesn’t have mushrooms and tomatoes😂 then I hear him whisper to an employee does the arroz con pollo have mushrooms and tomatoes? The manager of all people doesn’t even know what’s in the dishes at this place💁🏼‍♀️

The following day try to place the order again so I hit ORDER AGAIN but this time I go in to make sure The instructions say what I do not want. Upon getting my food I noticed that I received a sweet little note from the same manager on my food container that stated “THANK YOU FOR THE NOTE THIS TIME, NO VEGGIES” (i’d post a picture of it gave me the option to do so)

Extremely unprofessional, and it’s too bad because this is one of the better Mexican restaurants that I’ve ever eaten. Yes the food is good but I would not waste my money here due to the employees and management being very disrespectful and...

I hate giving hate reviews but with this I feel like I had to. To give warnings to people who will eat here. I finally have the nerve to write this review because my horrible experience from eating food from this restaurant was just scary for me and my family. I ordered here last February for delivery through doordash. I ordered Menudo, Carne Asada, and Pork Carnitas. Food were delivered quickly as I have had not expected since it was doordash and we all know doordash takes long for their deliveries(Maybe because they had to wait for the food to get done,)it was odd but I shrugged it off. Then when I ate the food, it tasted funny. It tasted not fresh. I feel like it was leftover from the day or worse two days before the day I ordered and they just heated it up. I thought I was bugging and it was supposed to taste like that. But after couple of hours, I started to feel sick to the point it made me puke 2-3 times after eating their food. The next day, it happened to my children as well. We vomitted and had diarrhea for 3 days!!! That experience gave me a trauma. I felt like we were food poisoned, and if we were, that was my first ever!!! I am still traumatized while writing this review. I just hope this doesn't happen to...
