Firestone Complete Auto Care — Local services in Renton

I took my Chrysler Pacifica in for repair on 1/7/20 due to check engine light was on and experiencing “lack of Power” when driving the vehicle up the hill. I told them I want the issue diagnosed and fixed. I received a call a few hours later from one of the KYLE ( I will give KYLE 5 star for great customer service and follow through) the service advisor after the diagnosis was completed. He explained his findings and recommendation and I approved the work to be done. They replace the battery, did the emission diagnostic service, fuel system cleaning, engine diagnostic service, and oxygen censor replaced. I received a call later the next day 1/18/21 to come pick up the vehicle. When I arrived, the technician told me that after the repair was done, the check engine light was still on and the repair did not complete address my initial concerns. He said, they did run another diagnostic test after the repair and discover that I need to replace the Catalytic Converter which was not mentioned to me earlier. He said that was an oversight on their part therefore, they will replace the Catalytic Converter AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. I was marveled at their honesty and going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The average cost of a catalytic converter repair is between $945 and $2000 plus including parts and labor and they are going to do it for FREE?. At first, I thought he was kidding, and I said I would wait to see if they would honor their word He said he would order the parts and call me when it arrived to bring the vehicle in for repair. I got a call exactly a week later and was told there was a delay in shipment and will keep me posted. 5 days later I received another call that the parts have arrived, and they would like to schedule my vehicle for a repair. I took the vehicle in on 2/3/30 and got the Catalytic Converter replaced at no extra charge. At first, I did not believe they will honor their word, but they did, and I was amazed. The was the description on my receipt after the repair ON 2/4/20 “ EXHAUST: FIXED RIGHT FIRST TIME GUARANTEE/REPAIRS DID NOT FIX CUSTOMER COMPLAINT OF LACK OF POWER ALL THOUGH WE DID FIX THE ENGINE LIGHT/REPLACING CONVERTER AT NO CHARGE AS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION”…. It has hard to find a trustworthy auto repair shop these days, but I am glad I took my vehicle to this Fire Stone in Renton. I would recommend this shop for integrity, customer service, peace of mind and quality work. I will be doing all my future repairs here. If you are looking for an auto shop that will give you peace of mind, look no further. By the way my vehicle runs much better after the repair.

Absolutely terrible experience and took advantage of travelers from out of state. Engine started sounding bad in my truck due to engine misfiring when we were near Renton, our final destination. Dropped off the truck at 8:30am on Saturday 4/30. Told they could get us in and fix us up. Advised a list of repairs that was essentially a tune up and told us "that would fix our issues" and charged me $750 and gave us the truck back right before close for the day and before they were closed for Sunday.

Spoiler alert, that did not fix my issue. At all. Reached out to the store manager a few days ago when I found time and he blatantly lied over the phone and said "we advised the person who dropped it off that we didn't have enough time to finish the needed repairs." OK, so why did you continue to do a tune up that wouldn't fix my issue?! Also I was there, my partner was NEVER told that. At all. They had no problem outright lying and taking almost a grand from weary travellers.

Later took the truck to MY local Firestone and I got told that it's cylinder 5 in the engine misfiring and that "Firestone doesn't do that type of work."

I've taken my complaint to corporate. Hopefully that solves the issue, but if not I will be filing a fraud complaint with the Attorney General. Absolutely ridiculous.

0/10. Don't trust these scammers. They gladly stole money from a young woman driving a long distance to get a family member out of a bad living situation. Disgraceful business practice and they should not be in business. Beware of this company that overprices their work and literally lies about it.

I was terribly upset today. On my way to work in the morning I hit a nail and at 9:30 am I noticed that the tire on my car was half flat. I immediately went to the service Firestone Complete Auto Care. I was told that it was so urgent, they could not fix the wheel, they had to wait 2-3 hours. I told them that I could leave the car with you and come back after my work at 5:00 pm. They answered me that they would make a wheel for me within 3 hours. I said that I would go to work by bus, and I would arrive after work was over at 5:00 pm. They said:::-- Great, leave the car in the parking lot and bring the keys, which I did. When I returned to pick up my car, I noticed that the wheel was completely empty. They did nothing. I went into the office and saw the person taking the orders arguing with the customer and the customer was very excited. I also asked ::: --- why didn't they make my car? To which I was told that they were busy. I got very frustrated and had to drive on an empty tire to the nearest gas station to add air to the wheel. And I had an appointment with the doctor at 5:30 pm, in the end I was late for a meeting with the doctor and I had to cancel it. This is not how business is done, I will tell everyone not to come to you. It was very bad....
