I used to love this place. I am disabled and I order from here a lot because my husband would always go up and get the pizza or whatever for us as we live with 2 other roommates and we live in the back of the house.
Now, as of a few days ago, they started requiring that I come up instead of my husband (that was the first oddity). Even though I can barely walk and it causes me immense pain to get up there and we explained this to them. Hell it has been on our order instructions for a long time to call in advance since I have trouble so days that I can't get up there easily i'll plan way ahead and get up there and just wait.
So that was the first oddity, they tried refusing to allow him to receive the order. Then they started saying this really silly thing saying I have to present my License and my Credit Card that I made the INTERNET order with to them so they can make a copy of it for their records. OK that's really not ok, seeing as about 10 years ago I had a Dominos employee in Renton (not this Dominos, another one over near Sunset) stole my card when I allowed him to do one of those "Slider" thingies to make a copy of my cards details for Dominos records. He made a copy and then went on a shopping spree purchasing stuff like crazy (and yes I have the police report to prove it). The police caught him but didn't really do anything and wouldn't give me his name but i knew it was him as he's the only one i gave my card to and also he was quite obviously the same guy from the footage they showed me from best buy of him using my card. I recognized the guy.
Anyway, so I refused to let them make a copy, I showed them a portion showing my name and showing the last 4 digits of my card #, which legally speaking I shouldn't even have to do this, as I have NEVER had a problem ordering at this dominos. In fact I have been ordering from this one for over a year. I have ordered from them 50 or more times and NEVER had a single problem. Now all of a sudden this.
I'm very concerned with this, especially when I contacted their manager the person didn't even attempt to answer me, he sounded like a stoner and just kept replying "oh ok, sure you do that" when I said I would be calling their corporate office if anything happened with my card. He said that he didn't really care that they could do anything they wanted and could refuse to give me my order.
I would love to have it explained to me how i'm proven guilty and required to jump through all of these hoops and get told they can refuse to give me my order that i've already paid them for. This sounds like theft especially when asking if they would then refund the money they said no because they had made the order.
Quite a raw turnaround from a place that originally...
Read moreWhen we first moved to the area six years ago, this Domino's was a decent location with friendly service, an efficient staff, and despite being cheap, the pizza was really good.
Since that time, however, the quality of that location took a nosedive.
The service is poor, the location looks dirtier, it even smells bad, like the residue of old food hasn't been properly cleaned up. Sanitation among the people that work there doesn't seem to be a strong point.
This leads to my next point: The past few times we ordered from this location we have felt sick afterward. I didn't attribute it to the pizza the first time because we had never had this issue with the food from this location before.
The next time I did order-for-pick-up I had my suspicions. The location looked dirtier. The staff didn't come across as all that cleanly, and I saw one guy handling raw foods with his bare hands. We felt sick for a couple of days after that. We decided to avoid the location for a while after that.
This most recent order was in part because we wanted pizza and every other pizza place in the area was closing. I did order-for-pick-up again. The moment I walked into the location I was concerned. It still smelled off, the staff looked like they were maybe under the influence, and the greeting I received when I walked up to the counter was, "Yeah?"
I double checked my order to make sure they got it right. It looked like what I had ordered so I brought it home and we ate. I am writing this review after spending an evening in the ER because I have been sick ever since eating that pizza.
My spouse has also been sick with symptoms normally attributed with food poisoning.
This Domino's location is bad, bad, bad! Stay away and find another alternative. Unless they do a complete overhaul of the management and staff you will surely get sick after...
Read moreI like Dominoes, no question about it. When I moved I went from the Kent location being my home store to the Renton location being my home store. The Kent location was consistently great. The Renton location is 80% of the time great, 20% of the time a complete waste of time and money. I will occasionally get the completely wrong order or missing items. I honestly don't have the heart to call in and complain to a manager and demand a refund/reorder. The drivers are caught in the middle...If someone else is responsible for the mistake the drivers shouldn't have to be the ones to pay for it. And I don't want anyone to have to stay late to correct someone else's mistake. I've been there, I don't want anyone else to be there. But, compared to other Dominoes I've been a long-term patron of, this location is by far the least competent based off of order accuracy. I hope they are able to improve things. I hope that this location can one day become my most reliable location. That cannot occur, however, until they can at least maintain my order accuracy for a few years, since I've experienced about 4-5 years of constant order mistakes from them. Anyways, stay safe everyone. I believe that this location has potential and with a bit more quality control they can become much greater and earn my continued loyalty. As it is now, I'll just pay extra to have orders delivered from the Kent location for the foreseeable future. I'd rather pay a bit extra to get what I ordered then to have to throw food away because the order is wrong and is something that...
