High Dive Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Renton

I've only been into the High Dive once. I've been meaning to get back in there for a while now, but I haven't made the time yet. However, when I did visit, it was a Sunday afternoon. It was a bit slow, but I'm not complaining; I'm not a big fan of large crowds anyway. There were a few other patrons/"regulars" at the bar and at a table just hanging out. Courtney and Robert were working, and they were very friendly, kind, and welcoming when I walked in. It's a small but quaint place. This is a great bar to grab a drink with friends, watch a game, or just hang out.

They have a good selection of draft beers (domestic and local). Manny's, Mac and Jack, etc. There's a large selection of spirits and the pours are generous.

I had friendly and fast service every time. The bartender kept an eye on the tables and checked on us when our drinks were low.

There is food to order (mostly deep fried stuff). It is cooked to order and well seasoned. Hot and crispy fries really hit the spot after a few drinks.

I found this gem of a bar by accident. I had an hour to kill while my way car was being repaired and I wandered into the modest watering hole next door. I was immediately treated to a friendly “newcomers” welcome by the charming staff and loyal patrons. Smiling faces and laughter turned my one hour “wait” into an afternoon retreat that I did not want to end!
