Came here a few days ago with my parents and brother. My brother wanted to look for an engagement ring for his gf and having almost lost my mom twice this year, my dad wanted to surprise her and buy a nice diamond ring and necklace set for my mom. When we first arrived, we paused and realized the sign says to call before entering, but they kindly waved us in. My parents do not speak English very well, and they're hardworking folks who grew up in a third world country, so they (I say they, but really it's my dad, he was the one who wanted to purchase jewelry for my mom) really wouldn't know where to even begin to look for expensive jewelry. The first lady that helped us was not very kind.... she seemed really impatient, a bit short, almost rude but in a passive aggressive way. Could be because we weren't sure specifically what we wanted, but regardless it wasn't ok to be this way (again, first time for all of us). She eventually had to go help someone else so she sent Josh over to help us, who was awesome. He was very nice, and friendly and actually took the time to talk to my brother, because where do you start, right? My dad told my mom to look around and to pick out something really nice that she would like. As we were browsing, another lady came up and told us that 2 pple had to leave because more shoppers came in... so my parents and i decided we would step outside and wait for my brother. We really didnt get to stay long, maybe 20 mins. My parents didn't have a good experience here... I'm really disappointed because I was the one who decided we all should come here because of all these great reviews. We actually went somewhere else and bought 2 rings, 2 earrings/necklace/ring sets, and a gold chain. I really wanted to like the jewelry exchange, but I'm sad to say we were disappointed with the experience... Thank you to Josh for making the experience a bit...
Read moreI just wanted to take a minute to tell you about my horrible experience with Jewelry Exchange in Renton. In September prior to our November 3rd wedding we ordered a band for me. They did not have the proper size in stock, and the estimated delivery date was close to the wedding. We paid in full for it at that time, with some showing as a deposit, some on a borrowed ring that was a little small. When the wedding came, no ring, which we understood, three weeks after the wedding, still no ring, not so cool but it finally came in. We picked it up and at that time were told additional money was owed. This upset me because when we had originally paid I asked the sales person AND manager who were helping us if this was paid in full, they said yes. I finally got tired of arguing with the manager and paid it. Then it gets worse. On the way home we noticed the ring had multiple defects, it looked terrible. The next morning I headed back, when I arrived, no apology, no let’s make this right, nothing. After disappearing with the ring she returned telling me all she could do was send it back. I asked if she could order a new one and let me wear the one I had? No. I asked if I could have the old wrong size one until she got one in, No was her answer. I asked for my money back, since three weeks after my wedding, still no wedding ring, again a no. I sent an email to their corporate contact, no response. Weeks later I finally got it, and the woman actually had the nerve to tell Judy the replacement was 75 buck more but out of the kindness of her heart she wouldn’t charge us! I ordered in September, did not get it until January, over two months AFTER I got married. The bottom line is everyone was nice until they...
Read moreI previously reviewed the jewelry exchange and gave them very high praise but I must change my review. We originally took my ring in because the band was broken and needed repair. Additionally, we had the ring rewelded with my engagement ring and replated in rhodium. The price was far cheaper than taking it to Fred Meyer or another jewelry store. At the same time, we decided to upgrade my center diamond to a bigger stone. Initially I was very happy. The staff was very patient and showed us several stones until we picked just the right one The new stone was beautiful and the ring looked great. Less than a month later, one if the channel diamonds on the side fell out. We took it back, thinking the company would repair thd ring since we had just had a new stone put in and the ring repaired at their shop. They told us it was not their setting and charged us for the new stone and the repair. After 2 or 3 weeks, I got my ring back. About a month later, I noticed the band was broken - again, in the same place as the original repair. We took ot back, thinking since they had done the repair, surely they would honor their own repair job and fix it for free. Nope. It wasn't their band or setting so guess what? We were charged for that too. So by now we have paid more than the original quote from another jewelry store and my ring has been in the shop longer than it has been on my finger. I'm extremely disappointed and I feel like I was ripped off not once, but twice for shoddy workmanship. It seems to me a reputable business would correct their own faulty repair job. I was once so thrilled but now I I would suggest you take your business to a place that will stand behind...
