dollar (1.25) tacos on Tuesday. Gone here every Tuesday for about 2 years now. More people definitely learning the secret at this point as it’s becoming popping. For a dollar they’re pretty damn good. For 1.25 they’re pretty good.
Edit: knew this place was becoming oversaturated, prices have now gone up and the quality has been going consistently down. Reason I’ve lowered the score is that for legitimately 2 years I have gone here once a week on Tuesday, always calling in my order prior to arriving, always the same order - I also have a pretty distinct voice. Every time I arrive, the same woman that has taken my order is at the window, and every time she doesn’t know what I’ve ordered so I tell her. I have to be very specific, she just doesn’t remember who I am, and it’s a large order I always leave a tip on. Now, out of nowhere the prices have gone up, I place my order on the phone and don’t receive the courtesy of being told of the price increase. A while ago, a similar thing happened, I ordered a large quantity of a specific type of taco, only to arrive and be told that they were totally out. Not a single one - but I didn’t receive a call back or anything, just got told after my 25 minute drive. The foods alright and cheap but a language barrier is no excuse for poor customer service after multiple years. Communication...
Read moreHave rotated through Azteca/El paraiso/Sabor a Mexico/Avocados over the years but tried Los Potrillos recently. Very impressed. Clean. Very quick service. Wait staff actually was inviting and courteous, something we don't often see in todays service culture. The chips were fresh The salsa a little spicy (like we like it) but not flamethrower level. Very tasty. Very, very good Pico. I had Pollo Asado the first time and wife had a chimi (chicken). Both were excellent.I tried the chicken carnitas next time and found them very good. The difference here is that the chicken (shredded in the chimi/flattened and grilled on the asado/sliced and grilled for the carnitas) was not rubbery. This is a big difference here over other local mexican eateries. Price is about the same as elsewhere. Refried beans very good. Our new go to place...
Read moreReally enjoyed our lunch from here! The menu has many great choices including menudo, posole verde, birria which are not very common finds for food trucks!
I had the enchiladas rancheras which were topped off with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and queso fresco! The tortillas were crispy on the edges which is great because most enchiladas are soggy (yuck)! The rice and beans were both flavorful! Portion was just right, prices were good too!
Also ordered 2 carne asada tacos and a Al Pastor burrito, both fully loaded with meat! Usually I’ve found that taco trucks really load up burritos with more beans/rice...
