Thought it would be nice to grab a quick cup of coffee and grab some food before work, but that was a big mistake. This place not only made me late for work but was so busy inside and out the drive thru. The place was a mess they ran out of there coffee or just weren't brewing it in time and messed up on a lot of orders, there was only one person ringing up orders and didn't seem like they knew what they were doing, even the barista making the drinks seemed unsure of what they were doing and the shift in charge was just panicking unsure of how to handle and control the situation which caused a huge delay and confusion people were angry, I remember before there was a good set of people that ran the store effectively, efficiently and smoothly that worked very hard and had excellent customer service, but they seem to have left and been replaced with a bunch of new people who don't know what they are doing which is sad because the place is now falling apart and the people that work there don't seem to get along, and don't really help each other out, and they looked so stressed out, basically a lack of communication and the worst part is the manger kiki does not seem to care at all about what's happening to her team inside and just lets them deal with it themselves while she does the bare minimum get away with it and makes easy money. There is something wrong with the management because you should have enough scheduled properly trained associates and shifts to run a floor effectively, efficiently and smoothly. Definitely not coming here with my friends and family anymore because there are other places that are less chaotic inside and have better management. I never seen a store this bad in my life. This store needs a new manager as well as properly trained staff members and has a lot to improve on. I want to share how Miiko at the Starbucks on 68 Rainier Ave South in Renton helped me out when I made a mistake and turned a frustrating situation into a positive interaction that affirmed my loyalty as a customer with the company.
After dropping my daughter at school, the other morning I placed a pick up order I could grab on the way home. When I got to my regular Starbucks location… my drink wasn’t on the counter so I asked about it. This is when I met Miiko, who helped me investigate where my order was. It was then that I realized I'd accidentally made my order at the wrong Starbucks- one that was about 20 minutes away. My mistake was super random and I was honestly confused how it happened. Admittedly this was my error, but Miiko immediately offered to help me with a resolution that prioritized my overarching customer experience at Starbucks.
After discovering my error, Miiko didn't just brush me off. Instead, they: Offered to make my order right there so I wouldn't have to drive across town When I hesitated, explained that reordering would mean paying twice Informed me they could perform a "recovery credit" process I'd never known about Personally walked up to the register during a break to help process everything and solve this problem
I was blown away and grateful for the help!
Most people only leave feedback after bad experiences, but Miiko truly deserves recognition. They showed real leadership and problem-solving skills that turned my mistake into a quick solution. I was genuinely impressed by how they went above and beyond to help a regular customer.

But different service, not friendly anymore. If ya tired or sickness staying home. Today April 14 2025 @ 11:30 am, I drive-through usually. I order same drink “Venti Iced triple espresso 2 white mocha 2 hazel nut and salty foam on top, I pay them with my cash, plus tip for them. He hold up the drink and look at the cup, is that your drink? What did you order??? I’m about to laughing but I don’t want to be rude . He gave to me grande cup and ask this your?? I told him the drink look wrong and im order venti cup. I said No…and he gave me another one, But i said No!! That not my drink. So slow and not good service at all. I never want to complain anything , but today really piss me off and I understand the line in the back my car waiting too. The guy seen like his first day working or training . He ask his employees how to get my drink right . She told him to pour my order in different cup, not even look professional at all. At the window I can see and hear everything. Look so messy and nasty. I have to ask all my cash back. That girl said , even a tip?? Of course I don’t even have my drink yet. I was wonder in my mind “ You have a bad service, and I don’t even have my drink right , or pay my drink “ But you still want my tips?! That doesn’t make sense. So embarrassing that customer waiting forever!!! I never want to coming back. If you don’t know how to serve for costumers or understand what you doing. Go in the back to do something else. What a waste my time and waste people’s waiting for long line....
