Village Square Shopping Center — Local services in Renton

Quite honestly, if I wasn't told this was a "shopping center," I wouldn't have known. The Renton Center at least has a sign at one end.

It's basically a Safeway, a Wendy's and a Taco Time all on the same extra-large block designed for easy internal car access. Okay, there's also a Safeway gas station and a few other small shops and restaurants north of the Safeway supermarket in the same building, so I guess that qualifies for strip-mall status.

That said, it IS pretty convenient to have at least the primary businesses cited above in one location, even if you're not driving. Since I don't, I can't give it five stars. I'm there at least twice a week, but I'm often dodging cars even just getting in and out of Safeway. Not that I'm taking my life in my hands every time, just saying this "shopping center" could be more pedestrian-friendly, deep in the heart of Car...

Nice local mall ...close to home . .... Safeway attracts some different sorts but we all need to eat ... I think they need more security for those who feel unsafe ... I enjoy the shops here ...theres lots of different shops ...plus i enjoy all the wonderful locals...

Good utilitarian strip of businesses. Clean, I didn't see any giant centipedes! Always a plus! There's a GameStop but I didn't go in, looked to be full of surly teens. Tried teriyaki, it was delicious! Parking was ample and street access was...
