My husband and I visited the Reston location Friday night (8/20) and ordered a couple rounds of drinks, appetizers, and two filet entrees. As we were finishing up, a different restaurant staff member than the waitress assigned to our table came by to check on us. My husband asked for a doggie bag and the individual took my husband's plate to the back to box it up for us. A few moments later, the waitress assigned to our table brought out the leftovers: box in bag. The next day, my husband went to re-heat it for dinner and realized that we received what looked like a rib wrapped in bacon - Not his leftover filet! We called the restaurant on Saturday (8/22) around 4 pm, explained what happened, and asked to speak with the appropriate person regarding the matter. We were put on hold briefly, and another person picked. She didn't identify herself but I'm assuming she is a manager or assistant manager. We explained what happened again, and even offered to take a picture and send it over. The response we received was "sorry, but all I can do is give you the half of the filet you're missing. You can come here, and I can cook half of a filet for you."I explained that the issue is not about the missing filet or placing blame on anyone. We just want to bring it up to prevent it from happening again. What if two similar dishes had been swapped, and we couldn't tell the difference? Eating a complete stranger's leftovers is not just disgusting but a significant COVID risk! She couldn't have cared less! She kept placing the blame on the waitress and insisting that all she could was to give me half of a filet. The fact that she told me to come by to pick up a half of a filet is just a HUGE INSULT!We all make mistakes. Getting someone else's leftover food is not the main issue here. It's the disrespect and unwillingness to resolve a problem concerning food safety and customer's health that really bothers me! I can honestly say that I've received better customer service at a fast-food restaurant.NOTE: If you dine here, DON'T send your leftovers to be boxed by the restaurant staff! Have them bring the box out to you and box it yourself!

We tried reaching out privately to the Landry group but they ignored our emails. I guess they really don't care about keeping customers. The best way to describe this experience was underwhelming. The tab was ~$500 for two (we still tipped generously) but it wasn't worth it. The biggest complaint was the quality of the meat, they promised a Prime Porterhouse but it just wasn't. It was nice but it wasn't Prime. It was like a supermarket porterhouse (you can see it below from the side). When I brought this up with the manager (Tom), he swore that it was Prime. I think he believed it, but his suppliers were not being honest. Even on price alone, the steak could not be prime ($72 vs. $145 at Bourbon for a Prime Porterhouse). Just don't try and misrepresent that it's Prime to customers that know better. The waiter was nice, but he didn't let us know that the wine we ordered was out of stock until our food already came (he had 40 minutes to let us know). So he rushed us into choosing another wine after our food was already at the table, which wasn't as good. Finally, they had issues with their menu prices. They updated the prices but not all the menus. So our bill was slightly higher than anticipated. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter, he got defensive and brought over a new menu to "prove" the prices. When I left I took a peek myself at the older menus and sure enough the old prices were still there. I know there are supply chain issues and that things are tough. But when you are at this level, you really don't have excuses. Stop being defensive. The type of customer going to this place is looking for a genuine experience. That said, if you want a $500 meal go to Bourbon Steak in D.C. or Eddie V's in Tysons. At least those places are trying to please the customers and give them value. (We tried posting this on Opentable, but the button for submit review was 'greyed out' - that doesn't inspire confidence)

Celebrating the chauffeurs birthday with lunch at Morton's Steakhouse. This isn't a Texas Roadhouse steakhouse but a swanky affair. The seating is plentiful and while we were seated easily on a Thursday afternoon; I would recommend reservations for peak hours. This is a pricey place as two diners with drinks came to $195 before gratuity (and they earned one). The thing is...the price is worth it. The food was superb. Thankfully we didn't fill up on the fresh warm bread that was brought to the table because we wouldn't have been able to finish our meals. The birthday boy had the crabcake meal. Me, the filet mignon with Oscar crab. We shared the onion rings (tasty but we didn't finish them either). The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience that we hope to experience again at this, or one of their other, restaurants! #BirdLife #OwlsTweet @MeetMrOwl #worldtraveler

High prices and cheap service.

What to say. We went to this place only because of good friends who invited us to share a dinner and a taste some wine. And the only reason for me not to leave the table without paying was this invitation as I did not want to disappoint our friends. So, we made a good face, even both of us were furious.

I would start with the waiter. If this place is calling themselves "an upscale" they should have trained their waiters some basic manners. This guy belongs more to some low-end fast food takeout where they sell food by the pound, not to the restaurant that tries to charge premium for an overcooked steak.

He was mumbling something about specials in a such way we could barely understand him. While doing this, he was so close to the table that he stepped on my foot! And did not even think to apologize!!! Amazing:) He messed up our friends’ order and brought hot meals before the salad. He "stilled" my wife's knife and did not bring a replacement until we told him. He forgot to bring us bread.

And he screwed up with our wine too. We were drinking some fairly old wine that needed to be decanted. He poured the wine into decanter and when we asked him to put just a splash in our gasses to take a little taste, so we can decide which wine we are going to go first with and what we will continue with, he just dumped it all in our four glasses! Without even letting this wine to rest and breathe for a bit! Why he even messed with the decanter when the wine was there for only less than a minute? He does not even know how wine should to served!

To continue with wine. We had to ask them to replace all four of our wine glasses that were initially placed on the table because they all were dirty! Literally they had pieces of food on them! How did they wash them!? They did not cheeked them before serving!? All four!?

The food. Aside of messing with the dishes. Not only they overcooked my wife's filet mignon, they also burned in on one side! It was far from medium. Oh boy, it was so tempting to call the chef and ask him to comment on this. My filet should be rare and it was ok. Not good, not fine, but ok.

Yet they brought my filet and did not bring my sides. I only had to wait for them about 5 minutes while my filet was getting cold. That's probably the reason they charge extra for sides. Perhaps it is a surcharge for the expedited service. :) And my sautéed mushrooms where more like boiled, definitely not sautéed. Or did they sautéed them in a microwave?! And they smelled like old socks. Still wonder who is the chef.

Another side was an asparagus. For only $12 dollars they served us few mushy sprouts that seem to lose their freshness about a week ago. It should be a grilled asparagus, but they decided to serve it boiled instead. What a great invention and a time saving. But total waste of money. Who cooks for them anyway?

While they are trying to portrait themselves as an "upscale" restaurant, they yet not aware that people do serve filet mignon on a preheated plate in the true upscale places. Oh well. It was probably too much hustle for them. Who cares, they jacked their prices up instead.

To polish it up, the ambiance is really not there. The place is dark with low and depressing ceiling and dated décor. But, some people like it like this and I would not judge them on it. Matter of fact, I can forgive a lack of ambiance for a good food. Only if there is a good food ....

After all of this, please tell me if a had some valid reasons to leave our food on the table and never return...

RIP Mortons the Great...first time in years & likely last. Wanted to have their bar food...you know, the $25 Burger...used to be the Hall-of-Fame burger....man how the mighty have fallen.

First off the place is tired.....Atlantic City tired....3rd tier Mall tired...and the male bartender looked about as fresh as a frat dude at 7am after beer pong fiesta. I ordered the $25 burger...I mean it used to be worth it...well it came out like a few minutes later..huh?...like how did they cook it so fast...WELL they didn't really...it was one of those pre-cooked burgers...yeah...

It arrived looking like cafeteria food....1/2lb patty.. one slice of American Cheese....one....$25 burger....one...ONE THIN SLICE...didn't even cover the burger....wish I had taken a pic....bun?..used to be luscious and moist...nope ...STALE and hard....flavorless. OH there was a tomato slice, onion slice and pickles...big deal....the burger was cold and the cheese like BAKED on....

The beef was NOT juicy...it was dry...it USED to have flavor...not anymore. The cold fries went well with the WARM $10 BEER....actually the beer was the warmest part of the meal. And the allegedly chilled glass....lame. Cmon how is it plenty of places can manage a chilled glass...and cold beer...nope not here.

Then I had some gift card that I wanted to apply......bartender gave me the 'I'll try but gunna be hard"...oh poor dear...you have to THINK...oh my....so then they sent the Manager over....I was with my son...HUMILIATED ME in a crowded restaurant...."WELL SIR THIS IS EXPIRED"....so I ask, can you please show me where the expiration date is because I didn't see one..."WELL, you see some items listed on this are no longer available so it's expired"....WHAAAAHTTTTTT??????....so like if one item on your menu changes you simply disavow all and any gift cards?...for WHAT...a $15 item?....seriously dude....well the Manager finally took pity on me and 'bought it for me"....at this point I was so humiliated....I actually insisted that I pay because it felt horrible.

THE BEST PART OF THE STORY IS THE GIFT CARD WAS GIVEN TO US BY A MANAGER A FEW YEARS AGO AFTER ANOTHER HORRRRRRIIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEE MEAL AT THE SAME RESTAURANT!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...like 4 people got meals at different times all cooked wrong and taken back so we ate in shifts bad....yeah...like awful...like couldn't get "MEDIUM" ...very hard to understand that MEDIUM isn't cooked to charcoal and dark grey inside...nor is it seared and raw inside.

Bottom line....GO TO CAPITAL BURGER A FEW YARDS AWAY....JUUUUIIIIICYYYYYYY BURGER ...FRESSSHLY COOKED.... Fantastic atmosphere.....SERVERS WHO ENGAGE & MAKE YOUR NIGHT FANTASTIC.....COLD BEER!!!!!.......TASTY BUN.....THICK CHEESE.....and LESS MONEY TOO.

Yeah Mortons...NO WONDER YOU CAN BUY $100 of Gift Cards for $80 at COSTCO...bahahahahahahahaha....no...

absolute GARBAGE of a service from START to FINISH. Biggest regret of my life of 2024 is changing my Eddie V's dinner reservation to this DUMP of a place for our 7 year wedding anniversary. sit TIGHT I have a story for you and hope you don't even consider this trashy low class service.

We stepped in at around 7:02 for our dinner reservation. Upon arrival, the host - a young gentleman who seemed disheveled, mute and overall very unhappy - barely greeted us. You would think going into a "high end" restaurant, you would be warmly greeted with a smile and a welcome.

Upon sitting, no one came by to greet us as our waiter, no one came by to ask us if we wanted any water or let alone explain anything on the menu. It was as if we were stranded on an island for what felt like hours. My husband and I both looked around and it was a quiet Sunday night. We saw several waiters/waitresses walking around but not ONE of them said anything to us. maybe about 10 minutes later, a random gentleman abruptly walked over and just rudely asked "WATER? TAP? SPARKLING?" again - with 0 assurance that someone would be coming by to take our drink orders + food orders. after another 10 minutes passed by, I grew extremely upset, because at this point, my patience and sympathy had completely run out because this is completely unacceptable and rather disappointing for a restaurant that is self proclaimed high class. My husband eventually went to go find a manager, which she came by a few minutes later but by then I was already furious and what she said pissed me off even more.

We grabbed our coats and was getting ready to just leave. When the manager walked over, she said "ohhhh did no on greet youuuuu??? I'll call over Eddie! I'll call him over now" .... WHY NOW? you couldn't have called the waiter over 20 minutes ago? THen she proceeds to say, "well I can give you some apps for free" ..... because we are beggars and free food would erase the last 20 minutes? This woman had absolutely ZERO clue on how to deal with the situation. Instead of showing empathy and finding out what was wrong, she 1. ASSUMED we were mad because we weren't "greeted" as if we're 15 years old & 2. just threw free food at us assuming that would resolve the issue.

I would rather eat a dead rats off the floor of DC streets then to ever return to this disgusting low grade low class place I wont even call it a restaurant. From host all the way to the manager, the whole thing was handled so...
