Our room was clean and spacious. However, the rooms have little to no circulation. Making it difficult to sleep. The showers are very nice, and the bathrooms and general space have a modern European-minimalist feel to them.
The hotel is accommodating to pets, however. The staff was very friendly at the front desk. However, this hotel offers no room service. A first for me at a Marriot hotel. If you try to ring the front desk from the room phone, you'll just get a ringing tone, and then the call ends with no response 50% of the time.
There is a parking fee at this hotel. That's not abnormal. But people should be aware of that. When I saw the sign, it said that Marriot had negotiated a $17.50/night fee.
Location is optimal. It's a short walk to the Silver Line metro station. However, there's no information in the lobby with regard to the timetables or train schedules. Making it difficult to coordinate when to leave.
The downstairs restaurant advertised its kitchen as closing at 11:00 PM. However, when I went down to order, they said that they kitchen closed at 9:30 PM. When I asked the person at the front desk, they said that the website information is incorrect and in the process of being updated.
Note that the breakfast buffet is not complimentary and costs $20 per person. Another first for me at a Marriot hotel.
This hotel is definitely a stay for business professionals who have a company paying for their stay. Not a stay for tourists hoping for a leisurly stay. With a room rate of $413/night, I would venture to say that it's definitely...
Read moreStayed here on a business trip. This boutique hotel seems very modern and new. Rooms are uncarpeted and decent in size. I liked the fact that it was near the Metro and that it is in the main Reston district. Parking is tricky and had a bit of a glitch getting out on my first day but did get that resolved, thank goodness someone responded through the gate speaker and validated me with the hotel. Just to caveat this, I did ask the front desk on check-in about parking and validating and was sold I was good-to-go. I also noticed a long hair in the shower that was not mine which for me was no big deal but to others maybe less so, other than that room was very clean.
I really enjoyed the vibe of this hotel, liked the idea of a snack canteen across from the front desk and the very warm and comfortable aesthetics of some of the sitting areas. Hotel is close to some good food and of course one can eat at the property or hit up the roof-top for a few drinks and a good view. All-in-all a very nice hotel. Staff is friendly, I would...

Not a lot of frills. Rooms are small and not many options (king, 2 double, or king suite - none of which have sofabed). The room with 2 beds shows online that they are queen size - but they are clearly double. I did not go up to the rooftop, but my husband said it was nice. We spent a lot to time in the indoor pool with our kids. It was pretty small, but we were the only ones there so we didn’t mind. Only 4 lounge chairs in the whole area. Plenty of towels though! Breakfast was underwhelming. $20 for a minimal buffet with 2 additional options. We’ve stayed at the Westin Reston nearby and I would choose that over this hotel. Front desk could use some additional training in customer...
