Update: Not 24 hours after posting my last review, the district manager personally emailed me and ensured not only that my issue was resolved but that store policy was also changed to prevent others from going through my same ordeal. I am thoroughly impressed with this company. I would be cautious with catering in the future to make sure that everything is being communicated properly, but I am certainly not opposed to giving these guys another shot for my next event—even though it probably won't be a wedding since I'm not planning on getting married again 😅
Two months ago, I left a review stating that this is the best Hawaiian place in Rexburg. I still stand by that. However, for the sake of honesty, I must update my previous review and share how this amazing restaurant did me dirty.
I made a catering order for my wedding. I placed the order a month in advance and left specific instructions for delivery. The delivery fee was paid and I even pre-tipped the driver. The wedding day came and the time arrived for the food to be delivered. Hungry guests gathered around, but there was no food. About 20 minutes or so after the food should have been delivered, I called the store to find out what was going on. I was told that my order was switched from delivery to pickup which would have been manageable if I had only been notified of the change but I was not. I had to find some people to leave the venue to go pick up the food. This resulted in the food being more than an hour late. To top it off, the invoice I received indicated that I was still charged for delivery and the driver tip.
A few days later, my husband and I returned to the store to inquire about receiving a refund for the delivery charge and the tip. We were told that the manager would not be in until the next day but the fellow at the counter took down our information and promised that we would be contacted. We were not.
I still enjoy this place for a good meal, but I caution all who read this: DO NOT ORDER...

But not all of the items are shown or listed on the drive through menu board which was weird and made ordering more difficult, and the worker taking our order in the drive though didn't explain things thoroughly and rushed us! Then we get our order and the cookies were wrong, our sauces were completely missing, our chicken was cut up! And I didn't get my double rice in place of the dry coleslaw stuff! Read moreSo we go to the Ammon store just about every paycheck. We we're excited to support the Rexburg one and to use the free mini plate coupon. We have come up here for three other attempts. They have been super busy and packed, and we had attempted for our fourth time. We feel like we were running out of time as the coupons expire on the 26th. So this time, we went in just to simply ask if they would go pass the date, for we feared that we will never be able to claim coupon in time. We were told. "No." He immediately went straight to work. Like we couldn't attempt to rebuttal. So, we have considered not to support the Rexburg store for it is way too far, and ammon is way more convenient. Besides, we already spent enough fuel to come and end up empty-handed. If and when we decide to come up this way, we will continue to go elsewhere. At least there will be seating.
