I placed an online order at 11:00am and it said it would be ready by 11:08am. Got to the restaurant at 11:15am and the restaurant wasn't open yet. Not a sign that said it would open at a certain time, nothing. Saw some employees inside and after going through the drive-thru and knocking on the window a couple of times, they finally come and say they are not opening until 12:00pm. I told him I have an online order and he proceeded to tell me that, "You can either cancel the order or wait outside until 12 to pick it up if you want." I tried to cancel the order on the app and it prompted me to call the store for any changes. I call the store to cancel and they say they can't do anything about it. I told them what the app was telling me and he said "you can contact whatever app you used and cancel it through there." I told him it was through the Pollo Loco app and he said there was nothing he could do, to contact customer service. I asked for the number and said he didn't have it, that I could google it. I just hung up. I understand there are staffing shortages but communication needs to be key in these situations. Place signs that have updated operating hours even if they have to be updated daily. Place a cone in the drive-thru to let customers know it is closed. If a customer asks for a corporate number or a customer service number don't tell them to google it. From someone who has worked retail I know that these numbers are plastered at various locations. I just came to vent and give my 2 cents here instead of going off on...
Read moreThis place is neither good nor bad. They really cut down on the meat. My guest and myself ordered a chicken bowl, and I'm really not that much of a meat eater thank Goodness, because it had hardly any pieces of meat in the chicken bowl! 2 oz at best! So if you're a vegetarian I suggest you go here! Here is an update....... decided to give it a try again and got two meals for $10 using a coupon. It comes with two salads, two churros, two pieces of chicken for each person, and two sides. When we went to pick up our order at the counter, lo and behold the chicken and two sides were on one plate. Everything else was separated for two. So we had to ask for an extra plate, taking half of each of the sides and put it on the second plate. Small portion to begin with, and when you take half of it to put on another plate and just left a little bitty tablespoon left. Kind of misleading. Meal for two it's supposed to mean just that, two separate meals. What's the second person was supposed to do, pick food off of the other person's plate? Also there's no pleasantness, of the workers. The manager is stonefaced, and looks like his face will crack if he even...

Asked to have none on it. He said that's the way its suppose to be. But replaced one salad with no dressing. When I asked for a pk ranch dressing on side. He said it's 40 cents. For being rushed. He took plenty of time arguing with me. He ended up not charging the 40 cents but warned me. Next time I would be charged . He also only gave 2 small salsas. .When spouse called to speak to manager . He said he was manager. And acted the same way to her as he did me. Arguing about salad dressing comes on salad . And excuse for order wrong as rushed . Just not professional. Or understanding of our concerns. He even said how can i make it up. But ready to end call. He has zero personality When she asked to talk the GM he Said you can only talk to me. Not GM. And pretty...
