Just in the area and look what I found, could it be a diamond in the ruff?
The smoker was outside puffin away so I thought I had better go over and do some investigating. Upon my entering the establishment I was greeted very warmly by a young man who calls himself Micah.
I asked him how long the business had been in the area and he said 2 years. Micah then proceeded to give me some history on the family business.
I asked about some of the items on the menu when he said, "I have a sample coming right up for you." I was impressed and nicely surprised. That was an astute business move for such a young man.
There was a another gentleman in the window area of the kitchen, who just happened to be standing near what appeared to be a huge deep dish of peach cobbler. I can't tell you how tempting it was, but all I could think about was sinking my teeth into some good BBQ. - Oh and that it was!
Micah handed me a small rib that was just the perfect portion. The sauce was fantastic and the meat was very tender and juicy. The smoke flavor came right on through.
I ordered the Rib dinner which came with two sides, I chose the collard greens and the mac and cheese. The collard greens were the best I have had at any BBQ restaurant!
A young woman name Sarai relieved Micah and she too was just as friendly and nice. I took several to go menus and could not wait to get to my car and dig in.
The portion of food was excellent for the money!

Read moreI tried it! That's the positive in all of this. I believe I called in a little before 12pm so it was understandable that certain foods would not be done (i.e. the collard greens). They also did not have red beans and rice. So after all of the "we don't have this or that!" I placed my order: 6 pc red snapper dinner with potato salad and Mac n cheese, pickings were slim. The 2nd order was a 6 pc catfish with green beans, potato salad and a side of hush puppies. Oh wait ...I forgot... NO PEACH COBBLER!!! (in my head I'm thinking, why are yawl open 🤔.) Picked up the orders. Potato salad in the same Styrofoam container with the cooked food.....eventually will equal mashed potatoes. Just an FYI! The two fish meats looked opposite of one another. The red snapper had a thin black skin on it and the catfish didn't. I can't even continue with this review because it was embarrassingly bad!

Read moreTried it for the first time today.Food is great. I saw a review before I went in, someone posted that the the chicken was burnt with barbeque sauce on it. To me, it was perfect. Everyone have their preference, but that is how I love it. The spicy sauce is to die for!!!
Edit: 08/03/2021 Just came to update this The last couple weeks my wife and I visited this place and was very disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered the rib tips with the same fixings 2X in a row, the portion size got way smaller and more expensive and the meat specifically the rib tips tasted as if they were cook/smoked in gasoline. I am not the barbecue expert but my guess is, he didn't let the gasoline/fuel burn off the coals before he put it on the grill. If that is the case, that is a rookie mistake that should never happen... so I had to come back and...
