CREED-Flossmoor — Restaurant in Rich Township

Yesterday I ordered on Doordash. My request was that my chicken wings be fried well well well well done. Soon after I placed the order it was ready for pick up. There's no way they could have fried my chicken as requested that quick, if so they didn't cook it fresh and just refried the ones they gave me. I called the restaurant to remind them how I wanted my chicken. Besides I was only a few minutes away from the restaurant. When I arrived the order was bagged up already. I said I hope my order isn't ready already. The man behind the counter said he made sure my chicken was how I requested and I could check while there. There's no way my food should have been done so quick. So I wasn't wasting my time looking. I got home and sure enough the chicken was not cooked how I requested, it was not fried hard. I decided that will be my last time ordering from them. Using the excuse that they were closing soon is no excuse. They close at 7pm according to the hours posted and I placed the order before 6pm. I like their food but if my request is going to be ignored I won't be spending money with them. I wish people would just listen. Cook my food how I want it so that I will be satisfied and return. In spite of the dressing being dry all the time, I still order it, I requested heavy gravy and it wasn't given of course. So yes that's...

This was the second time my husband and I ate food from this restaurant. While this place is on the small side with only about 8 - 10 table, neither the service nor the food suffers for this. The first time we did a take out order, The food came out in relatively good time, especially for being cooked to order, and the food and service was good. This time we decided to sit down since we had the time. Everyone from the waitress, chef and owner were extremely nice and accommodating. The waitress gave great recommendations and followed-up with us on how everything was and if we needed anything else without being too intrusive. The chef brought out the food and came back to ask us how everything was. The owner even stopped by to make sure we were okay. The food was outstanding. Well cooked, seasoned and all out delicious. I noticed that at the table next to us, something in the ladies order was wrong. Not only did the waitress apologize and offer to take care of it immediately, the chef came out to speak with her, apologized, gave her an explanation for how the error occurred and assured her they would do everything to correct this for her. The lady looked happy with the action and results. I thought they handled everything wonderfully. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant...

Hello, I am still eating my food as I type this review. First, I ordered takeout with entree + 3 sides. I ordered the smothered pork chops with yams, rice w/ gravy and pinto beans w/ rice. I ordered about 4:45 pm. Second, the food came out quickly and served hot. Third, the container for the food was a plastic, tightly sealed container, not the plastic Styrofoam container that spills food. Pork chops and yams were awesome and well-seasoned. Pinto beans and rice were good as well. Service was quick, pleasant and what I would expect from a quality restaurant. Areas of improvement would be the variety of wine and availability of club soda. I will be back!

Addendum: There was an older gentleman who came in with his granddaughter who also ordered carryout. While he waited for his order, he decided to have a drink at the bar. He asked the bartender for a Cabernet Sauvignon. The bartender replied they were out of Cabernet. He then asked for Sauvignon Blanc. Again, the bartender replied they were out of that wine as well. The gentleman asked for a Jack Daniels, club soda and one other ingredient. The bartender said, I only have the Jack Daniels. So, the gentleman settled for a Jack on the rocks.
