BY FAR THE WORTH EXPERIENCE EVER. Placed an order to go at 9:47pm. I was told it would be ready in 30mins. I got there at exactly 10:00 P.M. thinking I would only have to wait about another 10 or 15 mins for the pizza. Which expected the cashier said I have about 12mins left for my food to come out. So about 10:20 P.M. I’m still waiting so ask the cashier about my food she goes to check and comes back and says about another 5mins. Then I wait another 10mins and I ask her again. She goes to the back and comes back and tell me the same thing another 5mins. As it’s about 10:45 P.M. I’m still waiting patiently and irritated because I ordered my food an hour ago I ask her again about my food as she begin to see my frustration she comes back and still no pizza and told I have to wait another 5min as I’ve been told that multiple times already. The cashier tells me she sorry and that she doesn’t know why my food is taking to long. As I’m still waiting it’s 11:00pm which is the time the store close and I was still waiting. I spent $30 bucks and waited for more than an hour there waiting for a medium pizza that was suppose be ready in 30 tops as I was told over the phone.(WHICH I STILL NEVER RECEIVED). At this point I felt I was more patient and understanding but the money I spent was not worth the time I waited. So I asked for a refund at 11:06 because my food was still not ready. The manager comes out to refund me and doesn’t even acknowledge me nor give me any reason or explanation as to why my food was taking so long. Just does the exchange and tells the cashier that the refund is done Makes me wonder if they even were ever making my food.If you go here ask to clock in and work because your going to be spending your time with the employees waiting til after closing hours to get your food if it ever comes. PS: currently writing this review while I’m in the store at 11:06pm...
Read moreWe were in Chicago for a wedding and HAD to have some pizza before heading back home. Giordanos was the choice but wish we had gone with another option (Italian Fiesta) which we had heard about but thought our choice was a sure thing. NOT! I hate going into a restaurant and being met with cleaning supplies. The broom and dustpan were stashed right next to the hostess podium. After being overlooked, apparently, and "asking" to be seated, the hostess said, "I was just about to ask if you were dining in." It took a while, yawl! We were seated and ordered Parmesan fries (DELICIOUS X100)! WOW! The pizza??? NOT so much! Our first order (which took 45 minutes to prepare; that's not a complaint. We knew how long it would take but expected it to be worth the wait). It did not come as ordered! Spinach and sausage pizza with mushrooms on half and black olives on the other half. The first attempt had NO SAUSAGE at all, and there were mushrooms on the whole pizza! The remake took another 45 minutes (which were willing to WAIT AGAIN). They got it right, but the pizza was not heated all the way through to the center, so the flavor was lacking, and it made the sauce watery. It tasted like plain tomato sauce. The crust was ok, but I was looking for that buttery flaky crust I'm used to with Chicago deep dish pizza, but, unfortunately, NOT! We each ate a slice, paid the tab and took the remainder, and gave it away. We were sorely disappointed by this experience, especially since we had driven 12 hours and made sure we tried it. It was a big waste of time and money......
Read moreQuick update. After our Christmas Eve visit, management immediately reached out to us to make things right. They went a step further by sending a post card apologizing for the experience, with an opportunity for us to enjoy another pizza. Not many places will go to the lengths that Ladaris and his team did to right this previous experience. Beyond grateful and completely impressed with how this establishment handled everything. Bottom line, definitely pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed - from the staff to the pizza.
Not thrilled. Getting to grab a nice pizza is not something that we get to do very often, but since it was Christmas Eve we decided to get a treat for our kids. We placed our order at 230 for a 720 pickup. Upon arrival, the place was packed and I had to wait outside in the 15 degree weather for 10 minutes. Finally one of the runners asked me and another customer if we were waiting on a pickup. We explained that we were and the employee instructed us to return to our cars, and that the pizza would be delivered to us. Another 10 minutes passed and other people who arrived after us were getting their pizzas and leaving. Finally, this other guest and I decided to return to the shop to inquire what was happening. Apparently they forgot? 35 minutes after the scheduled pickup, I received my room temperature pizza. Like I said earlier, we don't get to do this often. When we are financially able to do it again, there are many other places that serve excellent pizza that we will visit before returning...
