I had ordered double chip frappachino and I understood if preparation of that taking time .. but literally could see no body preparing my order or only after serving 3-4 more people who came after me .. this was still fine by me as there could be multiple reasons for it.. so I started working on my laptop .. few mins after I saw my drink kept on the service and nobody called my name!! Now it's fine if u don't take name but can at least shout out the name of the drink which is a basic courtesy I believe. So I asked them did anybody call my name for this drink and then response comes the Starbucks worker saying with a flare .. " Well sometimes it's hard to pronounce your name so we don't want to butcher it !"" .. Wow not only was this little racist but the way the worker said as if it's my fault to have that name .. like honestly what were expecting .. there is a reason you write the name on the cup.. Honestly of pronouncing my name goes .. it's really fine by me as it's is really normal.. but to then completely assume one thing make me wait for a long time is not cool at all.. ! If it was a small cafe I could have still understood.. but this Starbucks where u have so many people from diverse culture coming here .. and still u don't get it !! I fely really bad for the first time and am disappointed with...
Read moreI'm giving 3 stars because I really use to like this place. When they first opened they were great. The long lines are inevitable. If you want a drink, go at least 30 mins before your class. They made my drink well and were generally friendly. But then the following semester it all went down hill. They started charging me extra for syrups that they hadn't last semester. It's a charge thats only extra for this Starbucks (maybe because it's on campus?). Order at another Starbucks or even thought the app and you don't get the extra charges. Which sure might not be alot, but I drink alot of coffee and it quickly adds up. The was able to get them to not charge me the first half of the semester by simply questioning why they charged me when other places didnt. But then one barista refused to give an explanation and insisted on charging it. So I just stop going here. I hate not knowing how much my drink is going to cost. I've been going to Starbucks for over 10 years. I know how it works and the cost of my drinks. I really can't understand why this one charges for things that other Starbucks do for free. Sure it's on a campus but it's still a brand, so you would think that prices would be uniform. I go off campus now for my drinks. It takes about the same time any way and I'm not paying for something I could get...
Read moreI am completely appalled by the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect shown by both Destiny and the so-called “manager,” Melanie. You would expect that individuals working in a customer service environment would understand the basics of communication, respect, and professionalism but that was clearly not the case here.
Their tone and behavior toward both customers and staff were unacceptable. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, they displayed an attitude that was dismissive, rude, and entirely inappropriate for their positions. The lack of courtesy and basic customer service skills was alarming, and their actions reflect poorly not only on them but on the Starbucks brand as a whole.
It is clear that neither Destiny nor Melanie possess the temperament or attitude necessary to represent a company that prides itself on customer experience. When leadership sets a negative tone, it trickles down to the rest of the team and that’s exactly what’s happening here.
If Starbucks values professionalism, kindness, and genuine service, I strongly believe that employees like these should be reevaluated. No customer should be made to feel disrespected or unwelcome, and no workplace should tolerate individuals who fail to uphold even the most basic standards of respect...
