Terrible service. If you want one of those “3rd times the charm” kinda places then waste your time here. Literally 3 tries to get our orders correctly through the drive thru. The receipt specified our orders correctly, but the girl Makayla at the window had a constant attitude, was huffing & puffing to our face, and was rolling her eyes whenever we had to say the order was wrong yet AGAIN. We specified a blizzard with a lid and received it without one & with the ice cream melting down the cup into our center consoles since we were waiting so long to have burgers constantly remade. The window was quickly slammed back shut several times before we even had to chance to say anything because she didn’t want to have conversation with us on the matter. We are never people to complain, but this was insane at how the service was. I’ll definitely be sticking to visiting Westmont DQ because if you can’t deal with people and treat them with respect then you should not be working a customer service job. I know it may not be all the window employees fault (as it most likely was the kitchen staff not bothering to read the screen to prepare the order correctly),but you still always treat the customer nicely. We were not rude or anything and just voicing it was incorrect and we needed it fixed. It should not be a problem. Read moreSo disappointed. During the handoff of 2 large milkshakes and 1 parfait, the ice cream was too hefty for the paper tray it was on, and it got dumped in my new car. It sprayed everywhere....on the roof, on the doors, on both front seats, and on the back seat. The server laughed as my kid drove away with ice cream all over them and everywhere else. After spending an afternoon cleaning it out and scrubbing the seats, I called to speak to an owner. A male employee said he was the manager. He told me that my son grabbed/yanked the ice cream from the girl, that it was 100% his fault. Perhaps it was a clunky handoff, but the way the store handled this was bizarre. First, he was terribly rude. Meanwhile, we could hear yelling in the background. He said that "the owner said there was nothing that could be done." I asked to speak to the owner, since clearly they were there, and was hung up on. Yes.... Hung up on! I called back and was told that I was speaking to the owner who identified themselves as Lauren Petrak. That person said that if I wanted, they would give me two milkshakes to replace the ones that spilled, but they would not pay to have my car cleaned (I never asked for a cleaning). Spilled my milkshake all throughout my car, and the employee LAUGHED about it. Didn't offer to replace the items she had a role in ruining, and now I have to get my brand new car professionally cleaned. Worst of all, the customer service was terrible, with the manager being terribly unprofessional and blaming me for the accident despite being nowhere around when it happened. This guy even HUNG UP when we asked to speak to the owner, what a joke! Furthermore, the lady they said was the owner LIED, as upon further research it was somebody completely different. Absolutely unbelievable. Terrible customer service with every single employee I had the displeasure of speaking to.
Regardless of this incident, this is a very mediocre Dairy Queen even when they are not ruining your brand new car with less than 5000 miles. They skimp on the toppings, take ages to serve your food, and the interior is drab and sub par.
