Main Moon — Restaurant in Richland Township

I had never visited this restaurant, but my family was hungry for Chinese food as it was Chinese New Year. I had ordered my food by phone and apparently thought I was ordering from the restaurant, but I wasn't. Apparently I ordered through grub hub pickup for the restaurant. This was a complication with my order that no one had encountered before and they said they didn't even have the service. The staff member researched the issue quickly and was friendly about it even though it was not encountered before and was incredibly busy. The Staff member showed me where the right number was for the restaurant on my phone. This was my first encounter with the restaurant and was a good experience even though there were complications as he was friendly and positive to get the issue resolved. The food was excellent and was packaged well for my pickup! I really appreciate the time and effort the staff member took to process my order quickly even though it was ordered unusually for them. The restaurant was decorated really nicely for the year of the Tiger as well. They seem to have plenty of seating despite the small front of the restaurant,cehich makes the restaurant smaller than it actually is. I also found out this restaurant has a buffet while I was there. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant again for that buffet and for the great food. If you are ordering through Google Maps, order from the main number of the restaurant on the main page of the restaurant in Google maps, that is if you are ordering to pick up your food. First off the server spilled water all over our table. Accidents happen, no problem. But then WE had to move our silverware and water glasses to another table. Proceeded to the buffet where it was half empty. We had to go to the front desk to ask for crab legs. The server told us it would be 45 minutes. But they did bring some out. We had 6 people at our table, and she never came to pick up plates until we were finished. So we had to clear our table ourselves, so we stacked them on the table next to us. The staff, 3-4 of them, had food brought out and proceeded to eat. That definitely made us wonder how fresh the buffet was. We got there at 7 and they close at 9, we expected decent food and servers who were working instead being on their phone. Oh and they had no sushi out! It was a horrible experience. Did I mention we we called before going to ask about the crab legs and were assured yes they have them. If I could give a negative star I would. The fella at the register said I can’t deal with this - our complaints. Needless to say I told them I’d be leaving a review.

Edit- in response to Main Moons reply. You were not busy, less then 10 tables. The server sat with 2 other women who were on their phones. You did not bring us crab legs or sushi. The girl was young and apparently didn’t have proper training. Yes you did give us a small discount which was appreciated but didn’t remove the negative feeling we had towards this establishment. When people go to a restaurant they are there to have an enjoyable meal and leave happy. It’s sad to spend $75 and feel so...

Lunch special and a drink is just under $10.00 - It is a fairly large buffet w/a good assortment of food. Good service. Clean. Update 17 Oct 2018 I noticed about 2 or 3 weeks ago that someone posted some negative comments about this place..., and that's fine. But I had just eaten there and took a friend who is a retired state cop and is funny about what and where he eats. He liked this place...., a lot. A negative that person picked out was that the egg rolls were dried out, If I remember correctly. I don't care what buffet you eat at, there will ALWAYS be some item that needs refreshed. Always. I usually DON'T get egg rolls at a Chinese buffet because they seem to dry out quickly. The rest of the complaint was so general that it doesn't need spoken to. I have ate at this place MANY TIMES and have taken friends there. Everyone I've taken there liked it and have eaten there again. There were a couple of times where it didn't seem quite as good as before, but for the most part it is a good restaurant and the waitresses are very attentive. For the most part, this place IS CONSISTENTLY GOOD. I wouldn't take the time to say this or do an update. You will find that with any buffet. This place is consistently good for the most part.
