My review is for the disc golf shop. (I don't have experience with the food or other items.. yet. Please note, I'm a new player of about 11.5 months.) As far as I know, this is the only local independent DG shop for the Tri-Cities. The staff is getting to know me just for their lost and found section, and it's pretty secure. Photo ID is required to retrieve a lost disc, and staff tags found discs brought in. Prices are competitive for an indie shop. After bringing in a found first run Innova Destroyer to the younger guy on another visit, I brought a first-run Innova IT to the older (owner? He's the chef on their tank tops) recently and asked him about their displayed collectible discs, and an appraisal on my disc. (I'm keeping it, but was curious.) Asked about their advertisements with the Windy Cities League FB page, as a restock of Innova products was posted and sure enough, more Innova discs were on the shelves as well as carry bags. Stock fluctuates, so it's nice to know they work with the community to announce restocks.

The place is just across the street from Wye Park and up the road from the Spaulding Center. The Sageport Grill is on the same side, too. One of the many long time fixtures of Columbia Park, or at least what I dimly remember coming in to the area in 1978 and...

Extremely rude and cynical people and a over priced store a literal most basic sandwich you could ever make they priced at almost $9 and buying something doesn't even in their eyes make you not loitering they have kicked me out before from the seating area after I had paid for a few thing and was sitting there eating while waiting for someone cause was returning a wallet that was found, they said I was loitering I wasn't, they informed me that a friend who has used there bathroom is no longer alowed to cause they don't like how long they took pooping, they where really rude about it to the point they where juggling the handle when no one was waiting on the person telling them to hurry, They also told me can't have my personal bag and had to put that near the door they are so worried about themselves getting robbed they forget about the customers...

Great lil convenience store right on the river across from Bateman's island, a lil park and the docks next to what is called "the mud hole". Not a gas station... but has everything someone could need while boating, fishing, swimming or otherwise enjoying the park! Great chicken and dumplings and other fresh deli food options. My kid loves the fresh popcorn they sell for 50 cents a bag. One side of the store is devoted to food, drinks, water, ice, etc.... And the other is a fishing gear, clothing, swim suits, disc golf shop area and smoke shop area as well. The owner is the friendly bald guy... often in the back! They close early......

Love getting the Dagwood Sandwich here every now and then. It's $15, but the largest sandwich you've ever had in your life. It's got everything on it, PLUS the kitchen sink! Turkey, roast beef, cheddar, provolone, American, peppercinis, banana peppers, lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, bacon, mustard, & mayo, and all on toasted sourdough bread. It is so massively tall it has to be held together with long wooden skewers like you'd use to make shish kabobs with. They place it into a big styrofoam box, close the lid, and then put another skewer through the clothes laid so it stays held together. It is truly a monster.

Island view offers several conveniences for activities in my local area. If you are hungry I recommend the chicken bacon ranch sub. Don't forget the cold beverage to go with that. There are other deli foods and groceries as well if you prefer something different. If you love to fish they right next to the Batemans Island area and have all the gear and bait you need for a good time. My favorite part of the store is the disc golf section, featuring a variety of molds by several different manufacturers. They also have a free local lost and found program that is invaluable to our areas disc golf community.

The sandwiches at Island View are absolutely incredible! The Italian sandwich I had was hands down the best I've ever tasted. Beyond the amazing food, the staff are wonderful and the service is top-notch. And seriously, the cheeky signs scattered around are a delightful touch that really made me smile. I'll definitely be back!
