This was the number one spot the for the business I work for and the patrons of it. Unfortunately last Saturday I received some of the worst service I’ve ever had anywhere. As I made my way to the bar, I eventually made it to the front waiting behind many guests in front of me. There were also many guests waiting next to me as well. When I finally got to the front, I was standing next to other people who had been waiting and suddenly some random woman pushed her way to the front next to me. Natalie, the person in the picture, was bartending and asked who was next. No one said anything, so I asked for two drinks. She suddenly snapped, started screaming about how all these other people had been waiting before me. I said I stood and waited, made my way like everyone else and when she asked for a drink order, it didn’t appear that anyone else was ready. She continued to scream at me how everyone else waited, and took the order of the people around me including the random woman who pushed her way to the front. I asked her why she was taking her order, and it was about now that she yelled F bomb after F bomb about who she was referring to and telling me I need to back the F up. I was too shocked to say anything as I have never been treated like that as a customer of any business ever. As I stood there, another patron grabbed me by the shoulder and threw me out of the way.
Following that, another bartender by the name of Austin called a woman that was with me some really insulting names laden with expletives. We were there less than 30 minutes, hoping to have a good time celebrating and unfortunately this took place. When we asked for the manager, we were told no one could take a complaint until Thursday.
As we gathered everyone up to leave we were approached by other patrons that couldn’t believe what had happened. The lack of professionalism of the staff was the worst I’ve ever seen. Just in general as people, it shows how garbage they are and the quality of those that work there.
I’m super disappointed because I loved this place. I’m the person that organizes events for our organization whether it’s large get togethers or super last minute events and we regularly go to Amendment. We won’t...
Read moreDecided to try this place while visiting from out of town being enticed by the 20s concept. The concept seems totally lost and only exudes a dive bar atmosphere, but dive bars are my favorite, so no biggie. They have a pretty good cocktail menu, and I ordered one that was actually well balanced. Little did I know that my stomach would be turning at the thought that i drank the whole thing. We ordered wings and irish nachos. While waiting, i noticed a lot of dirty tables, but the bartender seemed more procupied with leaning on tables and chatting for long periods of time with guests. I understand giving your reqular and female patrons extra attention, but this was a bit much. The icing on the cake was that while he was chatting up these ladies, he was obsessively rubbing his face and especially his lips. Like nonstop, and I never once witnessed him wash his hands. He was handling garnishes and the rims of glassware with his unwashed, gross hands. Food came, and he asked if I wanted another drink. While I wanted one, I definitely didn't want him to make me one, so i opted for a bottled beer. The food was ok. Wings were dry, and breading was soggy. The irish nachos were actually very good as the cheese sauce was amazing. Then the barteneder decided he was going to clean up a bit and wiped down the table across from us so vigorously that he flung food bits and particals from the table which landed onour table and actually hit me. He was oblivious. By then, we were just done. We asked for our check, and he brought it and proceeded to just stand there and stare at us while we sorted out cash for the bill. So rude! I hope management reads this and coaches him to be more aware of his surroundings and for the love of god, do not touch your face! Another tip for him may be not to only say thank you with every guest interaction. I say thanks...he says thank you, he drops a drink and says thank you, i ask for a napkin and he says thank you as he drops it off. A your welcome is much more natural. All around an awkward, uncomfortable, and...
Read moreCame in for brunch a couple times - ordered the biscuits and gravy/French toast on the 1st trip and chicken fried steak/Loaded something (forgot the name) on the 2nd trip.
The biscuits are money. Delish. Buttery flavor but in a good way. Gravy has a good amount of sausage and eggs cooked to your liking. The potatoes are a nice addition with the bell peppers.
French toast uses sourdough bread - we liked it but it may not be for everyone.
Chicken fried steak - I have to admit, the gravy was salty on this one. So much, that I actually didn't eat it. However; I didn't knock em a star simply based upon the fact that the majority of this stuff is made from scratch - simple error and I didn't tell the server, so they had no way of correcting it for me.
The loaded dish was kind of an interpretation of chilaquilles - my wife was not impressed but again, ingredients were fresh and had some good flavors overall.
Serves was prompt and consistent. We've also been here for drinks and always greeted with a smile. The cooks put out good food and my wife is a huge fan of...
