Fox & Hounds Tavern — Restaurant in Richmond Heights

Wow, my wife and I visited The Cheshire Hotel on our first night. We were too tired to go anywhere else, and Basso’s had a 120 minute wait. Upon seating, we realized we had to go to the bar to order. Looking at the menu, we both felt a bit disappointed in the offerings. We both opted for the burger, and my wife upgraded our fries to loaded fries with fried pickles so we could share them.

Let me tell you, our mouths dropped and our eyes stared at each other after we took our first bite into the burger! The bacon, cheese, and flavor were mind-blowing…by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Our loaded fries and fried pickles were also amazing!

And the best part? It’s not overpriced!

Now, something to keep in mind is that the restaurant has limited seating and a dark, rustic environment. So, if you’re hard of seeing, be prepared.

Fox and hound is a warm, cozy pub perfect for an evening with a few friends or just with your sweetie. All of the wait staff are professional and make everyone feel welcome. We ordered burgers, sliders, and fish and chips. One of the burgers was ordered medium but it was closer to well as it may have sat for too long before being delivered to our table. Still tasted good. Fish and chips we're great and it was real fish! Lamb sliders left a bit to be desired. If you want an old world, cozy, lodge/pub feel this is for you! It is a small space and can get crowded late in the evening. Staff are friendly and prompt. Well made drinks. A small menu to choose from but good food. Both tables and comfy seating and a fireplace.
