This is a long post but please take the time to read...
Attended a conference in Richmond and we wanted to find a Black owned Lounge/Cigar bar. Called and was immediately able to get a dinner reservation. Once there the process was explained to us regarding the restaurant in the front and the cigar lounge in the back. We chose to go directly to the lounge and we were happy we did. I believe in giving credit when credit is due. This establishment is well put together, from the moment you are greeted at the door, to the wait staff, the chef's, the bartenders (who by the way are EXCEPTIONAL-EVERY DRINK taste exactly the same no matter how many we ordered), and even one of the owners stopped by our seats and spent time in conversation with us which made our first experience memorable. There was a band that evening and the atmosphere was electric.
We went back the next night, one because the food was delicious, the Egg Rolls is where it's at, but we wanted to make sure we could add this to our list and YES we did. No fluke, No gift Wrap, or fan fare...this is definitely the place to go. Even if cigars is not your thing the food and drinks are amazing and the ambiance is relaxing.
Kudos to these men for getting it right. Please support this establishment every city needs a space where all walks of life can go and enjoy a nice relaxing...
Read moreThey have world-class service from an engaging and warm staff. Rich and flavorful cuisines that have very good portions. An ambiance that is uniquely versatile in having a full-service dining room with a full bar and then a separate whiskey-and-cigar lounge that has a main stage for live musical performances. The cigar selection is wonderful. The cocktails are sexy and with great twists on traditional mainstays. Even the hand products in the lounge are intentionally high quality.
It’s hard to name a space with so many unique experiences under one roof. You could literally be there for 3-5 straight hours and not want to emerge back into the real world. It’s a destination location, with a familiar, familial feeling.
The owners have deemed it, “The Den of Vulnerability.” The atmosphere is described as, “Approachable Sophistication.” Those descriptions just about sum...
Read moreAbout Last night...The spot was nice & we were excited to support a black owned restaurant. The service was good with exception of the requested loaded fry appeizer coming after the mail dishes, the Server, Rikki was Excellent. I am bummed to say Everything was too Salty. I had the Dry Lemon Pepper Wings (appreciated they could serve all flats), the other 2 guest also said the burgers/ fries were too Salty as were the potstickers. The 1 cocktail had at our table, Excellent. We visited the cigar lounge area but did not stay given no seating was available and the band hadn't started yet. I left thinking I never have to eat there again but would return for entertainment. However, there are soooooo many positive remarks I may have to dine there 1...
