C J's BBQ & Fish — Restaurant in Richmond

Very high prices for the very small portions they sell. They were small child-size portions in tiny little cups. Even the fries were like half fries with maybe a dozen of the wee little chips. Ordered beans and got the equivalent of two tablespoons worth.

This is my first time complaining, but not my first time eating there. Both times they didn't have the greens they advertise. The cornbread was dry, dry, dry. An unimpressive showing overall for the high prices they charge.

I stopped in at 5:30pm and the ribs I got were made at 2pm I was told. I could hear the sounds of microwave doors being shut as I waited. For the stupidly high prices, I expected better quality and bigger portions. Such a poor representation of barbecue, and a shame for the city of Richmond. Curtis can do way better if he tries and cares enough to set...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited CJ’S and I can't say enough good things about my experience! The customer service was absolutely top-notch—every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our visit enjoyable. The BBQ itself was out of this world! Food had so much flavor, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The smoked meats were perfectly cooked.. I especially loved the ribs.. so good

The atmosphere was laid-back and inviting ..I also appreciated the great selection of sides and sauces that complemented the main dishes perfectly.

All in all, CJ’S is a must-visit for BBQ lovers. I can’t wait to go back for another delicious meal....

Stopped in today after a funeral a couple of blocks away. I have eaten here a number of times when I worked in the area. The quality of of the sliced beef has really tanked. It's full of grissell in the meat and barely has any flavor. The potato salad was gummy sticky and had a weird texture like gup used for arts n crafts. I can't speak on the baked beans cuz I threw them away without trying them. In addition, they were VERY limited on the selection of sides. All this for $19.50 and I think I'm cool. I have heartburn from it as well as wallet burn. They get 2 stars for the sugery sauce & friendly service. But don't waste your $$$ on the sliced beef - I...
