El Bronco West — Restaurant in Richmond

Our visit today to El Bronco was unfortunately very disappointing. From the beginning, the service lacked warmth or attentiveness. Our server appeared visibly inconvenienced throughout the meal, which set the tone for the rest of the experience.

A particularly concerning moment came when I requested a couple of extra lemon slices for my water. The server brought one additional slice and handed it to my husband with his BARE fingers! Not even kidding!

There were also issues with the food. I ordered a burrito with shredded chicken but received beef instead. Since our server never checked back with us, I ended up eating it as-is. It was also difficult to get his attention for basic needs like a drink refill for my son.

The most serious concern, however, was when my daughter discovered a hair in her food. When I informed our server, he simply said “okay” and walked away without returning or notifying a manager. After waiting another 10 minutes, I had to get up and speak with the manager myself. To his credit, the manager was apologetic and did remove her meal from the bill, but the situation should have been handled much earlier and more professionally.

Overall, the experience—from service to food safety—fell far short of expectations. We won’t be returning, and I would encourage others to consider alternative...

Took my wife there for her Birthday lastnight and wanted a fun night out with my wife and our son and Daughter-in-law, have a nice dinner and a couple drinks and to see them put the Sombrero on her head like they had did me a few weeks earlier at El Rodeo on the eastside for my birthday and have a couple laughs, told the gentleman at the front it was her Birthday and the waiter even joked about it being her day when he asked her for her ID, chips and salsa came , drinks were brought , finished off small portion of chips being there were four of us but wasn't asked or brought any more chips so l thought foods was probably close to being brought, Wrong ,sit for at least another 10-15 minutes , no refills on chips or drinks , food came , my son and l had dinners that required tortillas with them , had to ask another waiter to bring our tortillas, we ate and still not one offer for refills but the booth right across from us had three gentlemen sittin drinking , not eating just drinks , refills a plenty, make long story short , service sucked , waited 15 more minutes to see my wife wear the Sombrero for the fun aspect but that didn't happen either, never will step foot back in this place again but lm sure my review don't mean...

I would not recommend anyone eat at this restaurant because of the terrible service. First, we asked for our party to be seated together and the waitstaff refused. Not a big deal, we were fine with sitting apart if that would be easier on the servers. Despite this, the service was still terrible. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and over an hour from arrival before we got our food. Our server never brought me the tortillas that come with the arroz con pollo, even after I asked. She also never brought a steak knife when asked, so another member of our party couldn’t eat his food before it got cold. The waitress was so rude to us and did not care at all. She let cups go empty, seldom checked on us, and was not helpful. I wondered if this was just us, or if it’s a waitstaff problem, so I took note of another party seated after us. They waited 25 minutes for their drinks and the waitress took so long to come back to get their order, that they left before she did.
