Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Richmond

It has been a while since I have been there, maybe three or four years. I went today, because I gave my Mom a Golden Corral gift card for Mother's Day. They have everything! I had Roasted BBQ Pork, Chicken, Ham and Cheese Bistro Melt Sandwich, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Homestyle Stuffing, and Chocolate Cake with Chips, and Diet Coke. I could have had more, but I know I shouldn't. I am willing to come back again, maybe put the app on my phone to have it at home when I can't make it there to eat. It is as good as the last time I ate there years ago. UPDATE:. November 5, 2022-Did you know you can have Golden Corral at home? You can with the app! I ordered the individual Pulled Pork meal, along with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Cole Slaw, Yeast Roll, and Diet Coke. For dessert, there were Peanut Butter cookies. It was all delicious! UPDATE:. April 12, 2023-I went back today, and the food was good. I had Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Fried Catfish, Nachos, and a Yeast Roll. For dessert, I had Banana Cream Pie and Strawberry Cupcake. I could have had more, but I know when to stop. UPDATE: August 5, 2023-It has been a while since I ordered Golden Corral at home, so now was the time to do so. Since it was just me, I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and a Diet Coke. I was good for an individual meal. UPDATE: August 29, 2023-I finally went back to eat inside at the buffet. I had Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Pulled Pork, and a Yeast Roll. It was so delicious that I dug in and didn't get a picture! They have so much more there, but I know when to stop, so I can move on to dessert. I had a Strawberry Cake, Chocolate Cupcake and a Chocolate Blueberry Cupcake. They were pretty enough to get a picture. I finally earned a $10 reward from the app! My only complaint is that the place is cold. One of my family members got cold. I like to eat there, but I don't know if she will be coming back. I hope management reads this. UPDATE: March 13, 2024-I came back and got off the buffet Grilled Barbecue Chicken, Fried Chicken, and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and a roll. I then got Pulled Pork, and Seasoned Potato Wedges. I then got cake for dessert. All of this was delicious. I wanted more, but I know when to stop. UPDATE: May 27, 2024-I was trying to decide where to order from this particular evening, so I decided to go with Golden Corral. I had earned a $10 reward months ago that I never used, so I applied it to a Pulled Pork Meal with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Baked Beans, and Diet Coke. When I got home with it, I discovered I got a few surprises. I also got a Roll and butter and some Chocolate Chip Cookies. My whole meal was delicious, and it only cost $3.08! UPDATE: December 12, 2024-I ordered the Individual Holiday Meal, which is available during the holidays,so you will have to wait until the end of the year to get it. It includes Turkey and Dressing, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberries, a Roll, and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. My drink was a Diet Coke. There are other sides you can choose from. If you want an individual holiday meal, it is delicious and will fill you up! I was able to eat it all! UPDATE: June 2, 2025-I decided to order the Pulled Pork Meal along with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Baked Beans, Roll, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Diet Coke. The whole meal was delicious! I have been there many times in the last like 3 months! Always great food and fast service. But what comes to mind more then anything. I am disabled have to use a walker. The day before Thanksgiving we stopped again for dinner. We ate and was leaving. By this time it was raining pretty hard. So as we made our way to the car in the parking lot. I tried to hard to hurry. I ended up falling flat on my back in the parking lot. Almost knocked myself out, because I hit my head hard on the blacktop. Next I know a guy and a lady were standing there. Holding a coat over top of me to stop the rain from getting me even more wet. They didn't have coats on, they were getting soaked. Come to find out it was the owner of the Golden Corral and his daughter the Manager. They covered me up. Even got one of the Associates to go inside. To get some clean hand towels and bring them out to them. The owner Doug took the towels and made like a pillow to put under my neck and head. Just to raise it slightly because he wasn't sure about if I hurt my neck or not. Finally the Ambulance got there. Then they took over and took me to the Hospital. I am telling all of you this to let you know just how tremendous the staff is at this Golden Corral in Richmond, IN. I can't Thank Doug the owner and Shelley the Manager and a couple other Associates. For all of their compassion they showed me. I am very grateful and think the world of both of them now more then ever! I highly recommend this Restaurant! Food, Service and friendly Service. They truly care about their Customers!!! Went here with a party of four who tried many different items. One of my party found 5 dirty dishes on the clean pile, the "waitress" waited until we had a leaning tower of Pisa of dishes before picking them up and dropping half of the uneaten food directly on the table and then promptly forgot about it. They can't even spell what kinds of foods they have available. Under the "steak" section which of course does not actually serve steak are emblazoned the immortal words "Dinvnr Buffl" which is American for really crappy food. Which brings us not coincidentally to the quality of the food at the establishment. I wasn't expecting Gordon Ramsay faire but this food has so much salt as to melt an army of slugs on one plate. Salt of course is what one would use to preserve otherwise rancid food under heat lamps. Everything from fried chicken to sweet potatoes tasted completely like it had gone off decades ago but the biggest offender of all had to be the "strawberries" that they kept by their unholy idol to gluttony itself: the chocolate waterfall aka the abomination of American cuisine. The strawberries were in quotes because they looked more like something dredged out of a sewer, which gave their purpose of being put under a chocolate water an even more insidious meaning. The only item that was actually rather good were the dinner rolls. They had two different types and both were quite good. So if you are looking to spend quality time with dying old men and women who shovel food into their mouths with empty eyes and if you are looking for a place to eat a buffet of dinner rolls the Golden Corral in Richmond cannot come more highly...
