Save your money. Other speakeasy-style bars in Richmond have better drinks and an equal atmosphere.
The Good: Atmosphere: The vibes are what I would expect from a speakeasy: dark, jazzy, and makes you feel like youâre in the 1920âs
The Bad: The Cocktails: First and foremost, I must admit that I am a bit of a cocktail snob. I ordered a Scotch cocktail, while my girlfriend chose a drink that seemed to be a variation of a Tom Collins. For both of our drinks, the bartender grabbed fresh glasses straight from the dishwasher, which were almost too hot to touch. This is a crucial mistake, as anyone who drinks whiskey knows the importance of temperature. The hot glass effectively ruined the whiskey, making it nearly undrinkable; even without it, I donât think the flavors would have been all that balanced anyway. My girlfriend's drink tasted more like a watered-down Aperol spritz and seemed lazy. The menu is also relatively plain, without anything that I would consider a âuniqueâ or must-try. So 0/2 on cocktails
Bartenders: The bartenders at this establishment are decent, but they don't have the expertise of true cocktail bartenders; they are more of two-mix bar bartenders at best (i.e., whiskey and cokes); see first point above. When I walked in and asked if they had Chartreuse, they simply tilted their heads and asked, "What's that?" So, it was not a great start. I wouldn't have trusted them to differentiate between Angostura and Peychauds, and at $30 a drink they should be able to tell me the single orgin of every ingredient that goes...

Admittedly I went without a reservation and mostly on a whim on a Wednesday night. Nonetheless I was very impressed by the drinks and atmosphere. Drinks were creative, generous and crafty.
Service was professional and friendly. I arrived solo but both bartenders were kind and approachable. I had two of their signature cocktails and the sliders as a light meal.
I would have stayed longer and probably ordered more food, but I had to drive and be elsewhere later that night.
Shout outs to Hannah and Skye (hope I spelled names correctly). Both were...

Doctors hate this one simple trick. Goto Goldwing.
Unassuming. Secretive. Jazzy.
Iâve never been to a jazz bar before. But this is exactly what I imagined it would be. I felt that I was transported to the 1920s Dimly lit. Some of the best mixed drinks Iâve ever had in my life. Comfortable chairs. Cool looking people. And fantastic jazz.
Not pretentious. I showed up in cowboy boots, and no one cared.
I saw a lady with a steampunk hat that had a raccoon tail hanging off it. Pretty cool.
I truly canât stress enough that you need to go here.
Service was phenomenal. Shout out to Skye Anna. And...
