First time coming here and walked out not being very impressed. First thing to know is that you will need your phone to make an order by scanning a QR code on a card stock mini menu on your table. The whole process is a bit confusing. You first have to choose what kind of soup base you want, how many people is it serving, do you want more than one type of soup? Then you add what you want to put in your soup, you can get combo plates of just meat, meat balls, veggies, tofu, etc. You can customize your own as well or go a la carte. I wish they had a family combo that way they just have the most popular items available. I think we spent close to 15 minutes trying to figure out how to order and what to order. It was rather overwhelming. As for service there really isn't much of that since you hardly ever see your server once they drop off your food unless you ring for them with a doorbell type button by the table. This place does have a nice atmosphere and decorations which makes it very cozy and warm. One thing I wish they also offered is a grill plate along side the hot pot to grill some meats. One thing I found that was kind of cheap was that they charge you for any type of sauce per person. They don't even include a bottle of plain soy sauce or table salt, etc. on your table.

A meal for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) was close to $100. We ordered the Miso and seaweed soup, combo meat plate, tofu combo, a bowl of Udon noodle, and a bowl of glass noodle. The plate of thinly sliced meat had four types of beef. Three of them were kind of tough and one of them was softer which I guess was the wagyu beef but it was the cheapest Dollar store type wagyu beef you can find. The main dish of any hot pot is of course the soup and the soup here was just ok... maybe a 6.5 out of 10.

Overall, not impressed with the meal and the ordering process and how detached it is in a regular server-diner relationship. This is more important when you have a confusing ordering system with no description of what type of soup and what is inside the soup. Like, what is "Beef collagen t ow" soup? I guess you could always call the server with the door bell button but the times we stopped a server, they looked like they didn't have time and wanted to book it as soon as they finished whatever you asked of them. I guess for a first-time experience, it will probably be the last. I tried it and it was just OK but not that great that I...

I've been here with my partner a few times and it has always been a nice treat. The service and staff has always been super friendly and fast! I understand the QR code ordering can still be a shock to some, but I can say it has improved since the first time we've used it a few years back. It's fast, clear and I find it more convenient as I can always add to the order at anytime.

We were a party of 4 with one who only eats veggies. We ordered a split pot, premium beef combo, the big veggie combo, lotus, noodles, and fried tofu. The choices of broth are plenty. The mild, to me, is a bit spicier than usual so if you're not used to it, I suggest the normal broth and just add a little hot oil to your liking. That was perfect to start our table off. We added a couple of items later, but that was a good portion for 4 people. Lots of ingredients and broth choices. If you like more customization to your hot pot rather than an all you can eat business model, this place may be a better choice and in some cases, a better value.

After having been there more than a handful of times, I can safely say that I've never had a bad experience there. Always a great date night for me and my partner. With businesses coming and going in today's climate, I'm always happy to see this little corner spot in the mall...

Hot pot nation was really good. Originally, me and two of my friends went there as a last minute decision instead of sushi and what an amazing choice. Going in on a Monday night. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff and a beautiful lobby. And within minutes we were seated at a table perfect for our group. The servers offered us a drink and showed us our QR code and what a great way to do hot pot straight from your phone.

We got two super bases. One of them was the house broth which was a pork broth and it was delicious and then we got the spicy beef broth and I was not expecting it to be that spicy. What an excellent amount of flavor and kick. I was blown away. because I had the intention of reviewing this place. I got a little bit of everything. My only regret is I didn't take pictures but the presentation of all of the meats and vegetables were outstanding. They also had a call button and I couldn't even put my hand down before the staff was there.

This is an excellent place for any event/ dinner. My only two complaints is there is no hood vent above your table at least where I was sitting. So the steam was kind of going in my face from the hot pot and the music was a little loud where I was sitting but an excellent performance by the staff and I will be sure to be...

if you're looking for a solid late-night meal then hotpot nation is the spot to go in the east bay. their soup base options and variety in meat, veggies, seafood, and other ingredients available to choose from truly makes me feel like im in hot pot heaven. one thing id like to make a note on is the fact that i usually love eating my hot pot ingredients with sauces but with this spot their soup made each ingredient so flavorful/yummy i enjoyed it just as much without the sauces! what i also appreciate about this spot is how their service is more relaxed and laid back. however, if you need something there's a button at your table in which you can press so you can easily grab their attention which is so efficient. highly recommend for yall to check out this place with your friends and family! tips: - you can add different dividers/multiple soup bases in one big pot which allows you to share a fun meal with multiple people with different preferences - lots of parking available - lots of options for various food preferences - perfect for dates, friends, and family

We chose the spicy mala soup and the Collagen Beauty Milk Pot for our hotpot. For the meat, we ordered the combo, which included Special Fatty Beef, Lamb Shoulder, Pork Belly, Pork Shoulder, and Thin Sliced Chicken Breast. While the milky soup had a decent flavor, the spicy base soup wasn’t as spicy as we expected, and the flavor of the soup base was a bit off. Despite ordering the spiciest version, it lacked the expected kick, so we had to create our own paste at the sauce bar. The overall quality of the meat was good, but for three people, the combo didn’t quite satisfy our appetites. We ended up ordering another meat combo with Special Fatty Beef, Marbled Beef, and Lamb Shoulder. Additionally, it’s worth noting that they charge for sauces separately for each person. It isn’t bad, but it leans toward the pricier side compared to other AYCE hotpot spots in the Bay Area.
