My wife and I stopped in on a whim and to support a small local business. As soon as we walked in the waitress approached us like she knew us so we felt welcome in a new place. Normally this can be a bit uncomfortable but we fell right in because you could tell they wanted us there. As soon as we were seated we had drinks and menus in hand and the waitress stayed close by and waited for us to be ready to order without constantly asking us about it so we were able to discuss our choices without interruption. I ordered a veggie omelette with home fries and my wife had pancakes, bacon, and eggs. First off all the food was prepared exactly as it should be. The Bacon wasn't overcooked and the eggs were the exact definition of over easy and the pancakes weren't doughy and under cooked like some places do the omelette looked impressive in both size and appearance and the home fries were cooked perfect. My omelette had a great taste and texture. The cheese was perfectly "goopy" inside and maintained it's meltiness the whole time and the other ingredients really worked together. It was easily the best veggie omelette I've ever had. The waitress kept an eye on us and only visited the table when we looked low on drinks or it appeared we might actually need something. The only exception was after we took our first bites she asked if everything tasted good. So we were able to enjoy our breakfast and our conversation without being interrupted every 5 minutes. She stayed close and if we needed her for extra condiments or anything else she would get them as soon as we asked. Everything was pretty quick for a sit down dining experience without sacrificing quality. And the price was less than many places I've been especially when you consider the ample portion sizes. I've actually paid more for much less at other places. Overall I was impressed at how such a small diner was superior in every way to much larger places like IHOP in food quality, service...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing, best breakfast in town and super cheap. I got an egg and cheese omelet, hashbrown and toast for 7.50. The omelet was amazing and the toast was the perfect amount of toasted and buttered perfectly. Evey other breakfast place over butters and makes it soggy but it was perfect here. the hashbrown seemed to be a smashed up potatao which I wasn't expecting. After putting salt and ketchup on it it was much better. The coffee was good and the decor and building is so cute. Highly reccomend EDIT- I went again today, and it was absolutely perfect as well, I'm sad I'm moving because this would be a weekly spot. It seems that there are 2 workers here, the cook and waitress. The waitress is sweet and seems to know lots of customers. The hashbrowns today were probably the best I've ever had, coffee and food was...
Read moreI love visiting local businesses when we travel & getting a taste for the area. They run an impressive operation - the woman on the grill (the owner?) NEVER stopped moving, she had so many orders & never paused. It's not completely efficient, but it would be hard to fit two grill cooks behind the counter without constantly being on top of each other. It understandably took a while to get our food, but it also came out a little awkwardly - I got my omelette, then a few minutes later my wife got her food, & then I didn't receive the toast & potatoes until after I'd finished the omelette. Five stars for kicking ass, they all work hard, but four stars...
